As we head off to work - this family is going in the opposite direction. Happy Monday to you.

When muskoxen feel threatened, they will usually form a tight group. When an attack is imminent, they will form a circle with their heads/horns facing outward and the young protected in the middle of the circle. So this group of cows and calves were in caution mode but not in all out defensive formation.

We did not intend to threaten this group of cows and calves. Rather we were driving up hill on a rough road in foggy conditions preventing us from seeing them until we were pretty close. By the time we saw them, they had probably heard our jeep noisily approaching for some time and decided that caution was warranted.

We stopped the jeep, turned off the engine and shortly they scattered about and resumed a relaxed routine of grazing on tundra grasses, ignoring our presence.

This unique sign gave me a laugh.

American aligator (Alligator mississippiensis) is a large crocodilian reptile endemic to the southeastern United States. An 8 ft.(2.44m) juvenile alligator resting on the shoreline of Forest Lake in Fairfield Harbour, North Carolina.

Out walking our Puppy Lowena along Lancing beach yesterday morning, the skies did some magic over the sea for us, glad I had my camera with me .

I was out on the beach shooting the magical sunset last night, I`ll get an image up tomorrow. I`m just editing one of the images now.

Two young grizzly cubs (Ursus arctos horribilis) alongside the Alaska Highway near Kluane Lake, their mother was nowhere around, I fear something has happened. They were bewildered and moved around erratically, no doubt wondering where she was. Looking so forlorn in the rain.

A bit different from galloping deer, cattle or frogs such as we see in the UK
