The stairway has recently had a new coat of paint applied to the railing and the edge of the steps. Bright colors to go with the red autumn leaves.

I would have loved to visit the abandoned mansion in tiny Fountain Green,IL. years ago.It must have been a pretty amazing place,judging by the exterior and this look inside the front door.Supposedly this house was occupied as late as 1997,so it doesn't take long for decay to set in...

A big popcorn (they were so cute when they were a tiny bundle of spiderlings!) has built its web right in the middle of the oregano. It is a very clever spot and I watched it wrap a bee bundle up.

Walking about Fern Ridge Reservoir near Veneta, Oregon. During the winter months the water here is drawn down in anticipation of winter rains and with the release of water the once summer marinas close and docks, oddly, rest on the bottom. This one caught my eye as the sign on docks end warns of low water.
