If I'm in a 13 foot high truck I guess my first thought after "Oh Crap!" would be "Thanks for telling me NOW for crying out loud!!"

This was an entire grove of really big trees in the northwest corner of Lombard Commons, near the field house and a little water park. These were all very old, mature trees that had been here probably a hundred years, but they took an enormous amount of damage.
The funny thing is, the Lombardians put the caution tape on backwards, as if they were warning the trees about the people on the other side. Which was probably appropriate, considering.
I liked the red yellow sign and the red tap over the old brick wall.

I stopped to take this photo. The ocean wants to flows to the right because of the tilt of the earth, but the faster spin around the equator keeps the water in place.
Ah! I experimented with this one while in the Wendy's ordering line. It took some time for the line, but I was happy to oblige.

My girlfriend Barbara is working at the university of York this autumn. Good excuse to celebrate my birthday in the UK this year. We went to the York Moors, did some steamtrain hunting and eventually disappeared in the fog.
