I stopped to take this photo. The ocean wants to flows to the right because of the tilt of the earth, but the faster spin around the equator keeps the water in place.
Ah! I experimented with this one while in the Wendy's ordering line. It took some time for the line, but I was happy to oblige.

I worked the lift that accessed this terrain for two seasons, forced to ride in all conditions sometimes I'd have to put out caution signs in all directions for those who failed to read the large sign at the base of the ski lift labeled "expert terrain only, no easy way down". This guy seems to be having second thoughts.

For the past few years, there's been construction in front of my building...which I wouldn't mind all that much, except construction means all the rats come out of the underground!!
The cassowary is an endangered species, and road traffic is one of the major threats. They can grow 2m tall. (We didn't see any.)
