Rhino's All-Ages Club
W/ tUne-yArds, Sleeping Bag
Opening up for tUne-yArDs is not an easy task, especially when you are being heckled by a crowd for nearly 50 minutes of a soundcheck marred by technical difficulties. Unfortunately for Canda's Pat Jordache, that's exactly what happened last week at Rhinos. But the band's singer and songwriter Patrick Gregoire was able to win the crowd over with his thick Canadian accent, fuzz bass and 80's inspired rock melodies. By mid-set the crowd had forgotten all about the horrendous delay and moshed and danced for the remainder of the performance.

Day 97.
Nero's and catchup with Nic. A wander around Ipswich, Felixstowe, an evening with Martin's family and a late night train ride back to Norwich.
Today reminded me of old times when we were still at school- catching the 13 bus, being in Ipswich and chilling in Felixstowe, the walk through Chantry to my mum's, getting lifts from parents, the Felixstowe train.... all due to current lack of car. It was strange.
We finally have some sunny days! Guy is basking on the couch.
BAHHHH! Sorry for the massive 365 back-up. I've been taking shots of Guy off and on, but we've just been SO BUSY! I think I'm 4 or 5 days behind >_<
The studio is coming together and I just shipped all of my artwork for the Chicago show. Things should be calmer next week.
This student is so chatty! It means he's turning into a fantastic reader, but boy, I wish he would use his Inside Voice sometimes!
Week 20 - orchid
I couldn't find a good match for the color when I was out so I took a picture of my shampoo. It's from Tresseme.
The title comes from The Golden Bough by Sir James George Frazer. The entire quotes is "They say that when you see an orchid growing as a parasite on a tamarind tree, you should dress in white, take a new earthenware pot, then climb the tree at noon, break off the plant, put it in the pot and let the pot fall to the ground." (I chose it because the chapter was "Balder and the Mistletoe" and I've been a Norse myth mood thanks to Avengers.)
A catchup bunch.... Various shots over the last two weeks....

After breakfast, I browse the BBC News web site and the most interesting story of the day concerning Nasa's lost rubber ducks catches my eye.
The exposure doesn't show that story so well, because I wanted to make sure the Donkey was exposed in the corner - that's where he lives now.
