Water and light.
Another two Nia day, as I danced at my usual Saturday class at the Y, then carpooled with AnaLisa to a jam at Studio Soma, where I took this picture of my water bottle and a tea light on a window sill in the dance studio.
Someday I will take many more pictures of Nia, rather than just of things in and around the rooms, or of our feet. I need to work on my action shots. In today's case, though, it was more fun to dance than to take a break and get some photos.

As an organization whose mission and vision include conservation education and sustainability, Denver Zoo's goal is to operate in an environmentally, socially and economically responsible manner. Committed to ensuring a safe habitat for all species, Denver Zoo champions positive action in support of the environment and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Within the Denver Zoo family we especially want to recognize the efforts of our Wild Ride Team, dedicated to ditching the car as much as possible: Megan, Becky, Matt, Mike, Jamen, Rebecca, and Leigh Ann! As the team approaches the 6 month mark we wanted to celebrate their accomplishments. The team has logged 6594 miles using by biking, carpooling, and using public transportation which nets a 1 TON reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
Our zookeeper Matt has taken the Wild Ride pledge to only use alternative transportation for the entire year. He has logged a total of 864 miles and saved a total of 500lbs of carbon emissions. And although the Denver weather is getting colder and shorter days are making it harder to bike to work, he says it's "worth it to save polar bears!"
We’re extremely proud of this group of individuals committed to doing their part to save polar bear habitat. Great job Wild Riders!
