Enjoying a beautiful drive thru the scenic forests of Eldorado National Forest. I was carpooling with my sister's family at the time. We were enroute to our camping trip with the rest of the fam! Fun times... (Saturday afternoon, ‎August ‎20, ‎2022)
This was during me and my families’ annual camping trip. This year, we went to the Wench Creek Campground located up in the Sierra Nevada, particularly around Kyburz, CA. Wench Creek Campground is located in a beautiful ponderosa pine forest on the east shore of the Union Valley Reservoir. The campground has 2 group campsites and several single-family campsites. Plenty of water activities await at this reservoir in the Sierra Nevada foothills. The Union Valley Bike Trail and Bassi Falls Hiking Trail are also worth exploring. Outdoor activities include boating, biking, hiking, fishing, sightseeing and more. Camping is all about disconnecting from real life, spending some time outdoors and strengthening your family relationships. One of the best things about camping is that you have nothing to do, and all day to do it. It forces you to look up from your screen, slow down, and appreciate your surroundings… From stargazing at night while sitting around the campfire, to waking up early to watch the sunrise and prepare breakfast, camping is the perfect outdoor adventure for creating lasting memories! ‘Til next time, safe travels! Last Thursday my art class went to the Olympic Sculpture Park on a field trip! While waiting for my carpooling group, I took a few shots of Florian, my Taeyang doll, at one of the sculptures at school. It's a giant rusty nut! It's awesome! :^D
I took Florian to the park as well, but never had time to get him out of my totebag. :^(
a yawn of a game. neither team played well or physical. it was not a
great defensive game for either team, it was just a blah game.
I had great company though, hooray for my cousin lauren who met me at
the game and for my sil/bil with whom I carpooled.

A meandering all-day social climb up the First Flatiron organized by Rom McGuffin. We had two ropes, but even so, with eight people things go slowly. Ironically because the meetup was in S. Boulder, I rode all the way down there, and then we "carpooled" back to Chautauqua, in Football traffic, climbed (we could hear the stadium from up on high) and then "carpooled" back to S. Boulder, where I got on my bike and rode home (unimpeded by said traffic). Tons of people up on the rocks, many without gear. Beautiful day. And I got to practice listening to Russian!
Due to the weather my roommate and I carpooled to work on 09 December, and on the way her car had a flat tire on the entrance ramp to I670 East.
While stuck there I had a rare opportunity to capture the city from an angle not usually seen. More of that later.

AATA Get Downtown Director Nancy Shore drives during a demo of the new VanRide carpooling service now offered by AATA. Designed to help reduce the costs and environmental impacts of commuting, the vans are available for groups of five to seven people on a monthly contract. VanRide currently has five vans on the road, and will acquire 18 more in July.

The Wild Huckleberries Red Hatters met in Valdosta to carpooled to Boston, GA. In Boston, we toured the Dillon Candy Factory. Then we took a driving tour through downtown Boston, GA. Next we drove back toward Valdosta and stopped in Quitman and had a delicious lunch at the Wiregrass Restaurant. It was a fun time of candy tasting, shopping, winning prizes, eating, and fellowship.

My carpooling buddy, Mary, on the left, was one of the founding members. Here wearing the hat she gave me when I was program chair. I put it on her head because she said she would feel more comfortable articulating her thoughts if she was wearing a costume. It seemed to work. Next to her is Lee, another founding member, who later gave a presentation of a third founding member who had died recently (in her sleep of a congenital heart condition at age 72). I'm not giving any full names because I don't want any accidental searching unmasking my little flickr back room studio here.
Care More, Car-Less is an Earth Ministry program aimed at mobilizing faith communities to reduce the number of single occupant vehicles and to encourage advocacy and environmental stewardship.
