Better known as The Galloping Horse Ride. This popular attraction is and still is a favourite ride for all ages. This one was seen at Hull Fair waiting for customers,
In the Courtyard at Tatton Hall, Cheshire. I do wish they wouldn't play Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as the music stays in my head all day and I have been known to sing a long and no you wouldn't want to hear that!!!!
The Mid Lent Fair is here!
Brings back childhood memories... though only the Galloping Horses and the Helter Sheller still look as I remember them.
A trip to Oxford in April 2023 and some decent weather at long last! Carousel buses provided the camera with some much needed sunny shots.
A carousel operated by Syrian refugees in Tarlabasi area of Istanbul, Turkey.

...in the mountains, but we pretended that it was Paris after seeing Woody Allen's love letter to Paris, "Midnight in Paris" at the movies tonight! AND we were really riding here! Not easy for Roz to get our pictures while she was going up and down on some strange merry-go-round animal! :D HOWEVER, Alco wants her dad to know that she never fell...and had a fun trip to the carousel! :)
It's cold and snowy outside, so time to head inside. This is a shot inside the Provo Beach Resort which includes a carousel. I've taken many pictures of this thing trying to capture one in which the subject looks clear and focused while the background is blurry and in motion. I finally got one with Joshua riding this panda. He was more enthusiastic than he looks.

Taken in Saintes Maries Del La Mer in the Camargue Region of , France.
Many of the places in France that we visited had carousels. I thought this one was somewhat unique in that it had a second level. It probably would have made a more interesting shot at night, but we had a long way to go and couldn't hang around. Such is a problem with travel photography.
The is the carousel at Alaskaland. I worked here one summer, and always had cotton candy in my hair.
