I always try to find a carousel or two when traveling in old European cities. This was a beautiful one in Zurich….
We visited friends in Nice over the weekend and while walking through vieux Nice (old Nice) I saw this carousel in a square which had in front it a few of a particular favourite tree of mine which I've only ever seen in this region - Albizia julibrissin (Persian Silk Tree)

Photography, of a horse, of a carousel, that, waited, anxiously and with hope, that some child, of the many, that there were, at that moment, waiting, excited to get on the carousel, would choose it, to get on it and have a moment of fun together.
The Christmas market is back and taking pictures of the Carousel is once again a photographic pastime. This was late afternoon. I am sure I will be back when it is much darker to have another attempt.

When Aluna rides on the Carousel, her horse isn't like all the others, going round and round and up and down... he truly flies!

There's always something magical about carousel horses... i love them. One day i would love to have a vintage carousel horse living in my home :)
Adam (JesusPoet), James (Jlawler) and Josh (Furiousgeorge) and I visited the new Bridge Street development in Huntsville last night after the NAPG meeting. This carousel was fun to shoot.
The days become shorter, and I continue with my night walks in our neighborhood in my hometown Potsdam. In Potsdam the preparations for this year's Christmas market have begun. But the children will have to wait a little bit longer for this little carousel to get started. - Potsdam 2024. - For my project "Night Walks"
