These are the actual colours as shot - the only adjustment I made was to tone down the highlights a bit. A beautiful spring evening!

Flushing Meadows Carousel - Fantasy Forest Amusement Park
This is a 1928 Alan Herschell Carousel at Volo Auto Museum in Volo, Illinois. It is fully restored, hand carved and hand painted. In the center is a functional Wurlitzer pipe organ. It is the most amazing carousel I have ever seen. So many lights and details...and the horses are fabulous!

That's actually the old Erlangen Palace in the background, now serving as the university administration building. And the horses are part of a children's carousel or merry-go-round at the central Erlangen Christmas Market. I got the shot on one of those rare November days when the sun was shining. The best part of a roller-coaster ride is when you're going up and you're slightly scared and really excited and you don't know what's coming next! If you can't handle it, go on the carousel.
This carousel is in my home town and was built in 1923.
The days become shorter, and I continue with my night walks in our neighborhood in my hometown Potsdam. In Potsdam the preparations for this year's Christmas market have begun. But the children will have to wait a little bit longer for this little carousel to get started. - Potsdam 2024. - For my project "Night Walks"
