This is the image that ended up on Channel 7 news :)

Through the lens; the dirty lens, holds the opportunity to capture the moment, it's not what you're capturing, it's how you capture it!

Unfortunately, for those of us who love photography, much of the Valley Railroad's North Pole Express operation happens after dark. To capture the magic, you need to bring along some lights. I don't do much night photography, so I don't have lofty goals with regard to getting artsy with flashes. I'm more than satisfied if the resulting image is evenly lit and the photo is sharp. In this frame, Valley Railroad Consolidation #97 whistles for the Ferry Road Crossing at the Hadlyme flag stop. The image was captured with a Nikon Z9 and three Nikon speedlights fired with radio triggers. Unlike the thermonuclear lights that some of my colleagues use, this set-up is not going to light up the whole countryside, but for a simple scene like this, it works pretty well. 1/200th at f/8 and 1600 ISO.

This image was captured during the Thanksgiving 2025 weekend, during North Pole Express operations at Connecticut's Valley Railroad.

I love the sky most of the total nature. Because it always stay over me, wherever I go, wherever I live. I love colors & the sky change itself in every colors like red, orange, blue, black, white, magenta etc. Also the sky keep the georgious sun for me. The sky can change only by the sun light. I love to capture the sky & here, I tried to show something like that. Luckily I got some birds flying over there.

Historic Akaroa Heads February 27, 2016 Banks Peninsula, New Zealand.

My son took me out to the heads to see the sunset while he was staying with me in Akaora. You use to being able to drive right to the lighthouse. Because of the earthquakes there is too much damage to the road. I wasn't able to walk down but my son did.

The original Akaroa Lighthouse started operation on the headland of Akaroa Heads in 1880. One hundred years later, it was moved down to Akaroa Township, after being replaced by an automated light.

The foundations are all that remain of the lighthouse keeper’s family homes, but the original stonework of the supply road down to Haylocks Bay remains along the cliff face, including an original stone culvert at the junction of the road and the small stream.

Scavrat Captured Beta.

When I built the Archon Beta, I knew I wanted to build more than one. This was a great opportunity to return to one of my favourite #darklegacies factions, the Scavrats. I added a bit of steampunk flavour to this build, with the bolt launcher and exhaust, which is truer to the original source material. It also has a Sisterhood Lantern of Revelation up front to ensure no invisible demons can sneak up on the pilot when working the carrion fields.

This build is complete but also a WIP, as I have a bunch of old dark gray parts coming in from BrickLink and I may replace the left arm cannon with an arm/multi-tool. I also need to get to work on my new custom base so I can do some proper photos.

There are a million ways to shoot this scene but none can do it justice. I went to Tahoe for the first time when I was a little kid and was instantly captivated. I've been there countless times since, always drawn back by her beauty and the memories that were made there..never quite realizing that she captured a part of my soul along the way. Within that beautiful place there is a peace..a safe haven that is there waiting for me..always.

Seems like the rebels have captured a prototype Hovertank and modified it to fit their needs.

In this case its seems they have added a DShK heavy machine gun. They also removed the side mounted cannons as they made the vehicle too clumsy in urban environments and removing them improved the weight of the vehicle.

Due to its forward facing dual cannons, its role against conventional tanks and vehicles is rather limited and will mostly likely be used for armored breakthroughs against fortifications & as well as serving as a troop carrier.

It can be somewhat seen as a armored technical truck and it has many possible variations and uses.

This is my first version of the rebel modified hover tank, I have some other versions that you guys will see in the very near future that are pretty neat as well! I don't know what it is about this set but I really liked it and for me is one of the better Star Wars sets in recent memory. And although I had already published some similar concept to this one before, this time I have more depth to it.

I also love how the rebels seem to fit quite well with the vehicle, well I suppose that could be said about most rebels in captured vehicles haha. And having them have Brickarms AKs feels meant to be!

Above the whole scene is the EC635 helicopter with Bruce Willis (Tears of the sun) watching! :D

Here we see a chance capture of the more often than not spotted Helen Turner in her natural environment down by the waters side.

Here you will observe her fluttering around an inanimate object! in our case our camera equipment. This creature is drawn to it like a moth to a candle yet it is still almost impossible to see the male of this species,

Unlike the female he is a polar opposite very shy and nervous of new experiences. She on the other hand will when at ease stay still enough to enable us to capture her natural grace.

Sadly she is an endangered species partly due to the male being so shy almost ashamed of being seen with the female and partly due to her being subjected to high levels of hormones that are changing her natural state making her closer to her cousin the greatly spotted CIS Sharon who ironically is showing signs of losing her plumage and becoming more like the male.

At least we have captured in this photo of what looks to be a rare example of a hormone free spotted Helen turner.

OK its Tuesday I have had a day back at work and I am bored senseless at least the dancing is back on tomorrow.

Coming from a very dry part of Ca. to some morning rain, while in Battle Ground, Wa. , was a great opportunity for some moist morning shots.

It was only when I was processing this shot that I noticed the hundreds of miniature water drops this plant had captured.

Happy Friday! :)

This was my first "proper" shoot since my switch to Fuji from Canon. Unfortunately at the arranged time the weather was rather grey and dull but we still managed to capture this dramatic image.

Actually it's a captured, then re-captured, then un-captured, then re-captured again hideout.

My plan is to build three separate towers, one in classic castle, one in classic town (apartment block or hospital) and the last in classic space (observatory). And then display them side by side. Not sure how committed I am to the whole thing but I am keen to start the town one next.
