to this point in my journey of photography, the photo(s) take on this day are my favorite. This was a few years ago in the New Mexico desert.
I was completely not prepared for the weather, nor the events that unfolded.

Every year I make desk calendars for my son and daughter in law from photos of my grandson taken throughout the previous year . It's always amazing to see how much he has changed and grown !

My second picture from the day from the same location at Hengistbury head and captured minutes before my previous upload.
I don't have a pet dog but this one came bounding along the coastline and literally stopped in front of frame and with a split second decided just snap away, out of 3 pictures this one is the one I am proud of, the way he/she is just posing in front of me, I would say if I was any good at taking pictures of pets to get one to pose like this would be a dream.

This is a record shot of the rarely seen opened wings of a female Clouded Yellow Butterfly (Colias croceus). They never seem to settle with their wings open so I was pleased to capture this shot in flight. Not the sharpest of images I know, but chuffed that I had accidentally managed to capture it.

It's this urge, it kind of boils inside me

That's joy, the ultimate joy, instant joy, no fake
I find light in different ways, either it's inner light or out in nature, hiking or together with certain people.
There are some precious people out there. Spending your time with this kind of people you may actually feel that there has been switched on an inner extra light within you when you stay in their sphere.

I was definitely EvaThrilled
Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 46115 'Scots Guardsman' stands at Newcastle Central with West Coast Railway Company's steam excursion from York to Edinburgh (1Z78).
It was nice to see the drama of the event appealed to folk across the ages!
For the lucky passengers, the journey from here to Edinburgh was a leisurely one taking just over 4 hours - plenty of time to allow the fine dining to digest before a bit of sight-seeing around the hilly Auld Toun!
Steam locos don't feature too often on this stream but, being up in Newcastle for a few days, it seemed like too good an opportunity to miss. Looks best full-screen.

My daughter photobombed this capture taken on the colorful morning. You can see here off to the side there with her camera and tripod. It was a great morning to share there with her.
Susquehanna River State Park
Since I love to paint, I decided to honor one of my favorite flowers. Columbine flowers are also called Granny's Bonnet. Many years ago I planted a few columbine flowers in my garden. At the end of that season, I would collect the seeds, then scatter them all around in the Spring. Here's to easy-to-grow flowers, a gardener's friend!

This wet feather was sitting on a fence in the Lyde Garden that I was walking in. I liked the colour contrasts, the water drops, and the way that part of it was draped over the edge.
This image was captured along the road on my recent trip to Indiana. I believe it is a red tailed hawk due to the chest feathers but please correct me if my I.D. is not correct. They are so beautiful and I had a few moments to capture some images before he flew off. Hawks are so fascinating and needless to say I was thrilled to have had the opportunity to see this one.
