The male and female tufted coquette (Lophornis ornatus) greet each other in their courtship dance. During courtship, the male would display his agile talents, flying in a U-shape manner around the female, hoping to impress her. The female, though usually responds in a seemingly negative manner at first before he is able to break down her defenses. This first encounter in the lovers' dance was captured at the Asa Wright Nature Centre in Trinidad and Tobago
