With its left side thruster engaged, the M/V Mississagi slowly works its way to the port in Marblehead to be loaded with limestone from LaFarge, just behind the drone.
This view has always captivated me ever since I saw it from PW last year or so, and it has been on the top of my list. I am still a newbie when it comes to these freighters so don't judge me too hard if it isn't up to the quality of some of the pros.
The sight of this surreal, magical and captivating beauty that might as well have been a scene from a sci-fi movie staged on another planet, boasted of Lake Moraine with teal blue water, ten immensely grand peaks rising ten thousand feet above sea level and sparingly covered with snow from last winter. This place is pristine, abundant in natural resources, with plenty of wildlife and the stunning views were so powerful that I was simply spellbound and entranced for the majority of the trip.
I hope you enjoy the view just as much as I did being immersed in it and by being present in its incessant beauty and wonder.

Gangtey Village, also known as Gangtey Gonpa, is a captivating destination nestled in Bhutan's Phobjikha Valley. Its main highlight is the Gangtey Monastery, a significant religious site for the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. The Legend of Dead Horse Point
"Dead Horse Point is a peninsula of rock atop sheer sandstone cliffs. The peninsula is connected to the mesa by a narrow strip of land called the neck. There are many stories about how this high promontory of land received its name.
According to one legend, around the turn of the century the point was used as a corral for wild mustangs roaming the mesa top. Cowboys rounded up these horses, herded them across the narrow neck of land and onto the point. The neck, which is only 30-yards-wide, was then fenced off with branches and brush. This created a natural corral surrounded by precipitous cliffs straight down on all sides, affording no escape. Cowboys then chose the horses they wanted and let the culls or broomtails go free. One time, for some unknown reason, horses were left corralled on the waterless point where they died of thirst within view of the Colorado River, 2,000 feet below." ------ Utah DNR

In the past few days, an intriguing idea struck me. What if each week I came up with a different theme? This notion seemed both exciting and promising, offering a fresh perspective and a constant source of novelty. I imagined diving into a new world every seven days, exploring diverse themes.
This is a captivating portrait of a cat, presented in a detailed, high-contrast style. The cat’s sharp gaze is directed off-camera, giving the impression of intense focus or curiosity. Its fur is beautifully textured, showcasing layers of stripes and patterns characteristic of a tabby coat. The black-and-white effect accentuates the cat’s striking eyes, which seem to glow with a soft intensity against the muted background. The shallow depth of field keeps the focus on the cat’s face while the background fades into a gentle blur, adding a sense of depth and elegance to the composition. This photograph captures both the grace and mystery that cats embody.
I keep returning to the Frank Gehry concert hall. It is truly a thing of beauty and fascination. I can't possibly do it justice with my shots - it has to be seen.

During my 10 day trip to Iceland over the last half of July, I had to return to one of my favorite sites for a unique human element image. So I drove up to Vik the over to this seaside section a little further north where I camped out a couple of nights to ensure I'd capture a few nice sunset and a sunrise image and this human element image.
In 2020 I'll be returning to Iceland again over the end of June but this time I'll be there for at least 3 weeks.

In 2020 I will be conducting 3 workshops in the US and one in Northern Scotland. For the one in Scotland, I will be collaborating with one of Scotland's finest landscape photographers and yes we'll be taking our attendees to the Isle of Skye which is a must shoot site.
During all US workshops, I will take my group out at night for Milky Way night sky photography.

Cacao is one of three adorable sisters I photographed last summer for The Norwegian Society for Protection of Animals.
Sadly Cacao and the sister she was adopted together with, are now deceased before turning 1 year, due to health issues caused by inbreeding.
But luckily they were brought into a good home right after being born outside, who made their lives the best they could be.
