This photograph was taken at dusk this week at Upper Seletar Reservoir, from the top of the embankment looking towards the control room which is linked to the left bank.
The slowly drifting clouds with interesting shapes and colours can be seen above the far horizon. The reflections of the clouds, link bridge and control room provide additional elements in the captivating landscape.

This blue hour photograph captured the attractive Jubilee Bridge, and signature buildings around Central Business District. The photograph was taken near the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay. It was unusually calm, with mirror-like water surface in Marina Bay. The photograph showed the captivating and colourful reflections of the bridge and high-rise buildings, and the full moon, in the Bay.
This photograph was taken before sunrise in Lower Seletar Reservoir. It was a relatively calm morning, with various cloudlets illuminated differently.
The reflections of Heritage Bridge and colourful cloudlets provided additional interests to the captivating landscape.

No time for our Saturday Morning Post, as Dad is working, so here is a throwback to early December 2015 when we were out in the fields off the Prescott-Russell Trail. Is that snow I see over there? No, I would have to wait another three weeks for the great white fluffy stuff!

This photograph was taken at sunrise at Lower Seletar Reservoir. The sun has risen and captured as sunstar. The captivating cloud formations and mirror-like reflections provide interesting contrast to the Heritage Bridge.

This long exposure photograph was taken at 7.43pm three months ago at Upper Seletar Reservoir. Drifting clouds with interesting shapes and sky were illuminated differently in partially blue sky, and were reflected on the surface of the reservoir.
It was slightly windy and thus the reflections were blurred. The small jetty and boats provided locational reference and added interest to the captivating landscape.

At Pt Reyes Station on the coast where these gorgeous animals put in to fight and breed and have babies there are several Rangers which keep watch so that these beautiful creatures not disturbed. Elephant Seals used to people but does not keep them from giving out a Roar if someone comes too close...amazing place. In very stormy weather a few years ago they came onto this beach and broke down barriers and now come back each year to rest and recover and the cycle begins again.Breeding/Pupping in Winter, Moulting in Spring/Summer and Juveniles return in Fall.
A favorite location for great coffee and a stunning view is the Cilantro Coffee Shop and Cafe on Yoho Park's Emerald Lake.
In the distance Emerald peak is shrouded in stormy skies reflected in the Emerald Lake outlet. More views below....
Seems coffee always tastes the best when the air is pristine and views are captivating.

The search for diversity has led me to the place where I found several blossoming lotus flowers. One of them was so attractive and charming that I just couldn't pass by such beauty! Truly a unique picture, in my opinion!
Cycads are seed plants with a very long fossil history that were formerly more abundant and more diverse than they are today.They have a cylindrical trunk which usually does not branch. Leaves grow directly from the trunk, and typically fall when older, leaving a crown of leaves at the top. The leaves grow in a rosette form, with new foliage emerging from the top and center of the crown. The trunk may be buried, so the leaves appear to be emerging from the ground, so the plant appears to be a basal rosette. The leaves are generally large in proportion to the trunk size, and sometimes even larger than the trunk. The leaves are pinnate (in the form of bird feathers, pinnae), with a central leaf stalk from which parallel ribs emerge from each side of the stalk, perpendicular to it. The leaves are typically either compound (the leaf stalk has leaflets emerging from it as ribs, or have edges (margins) so deeply cut (incised) so as to appear compound. Some species have leaves that are bipinnate, which means the leaflets each have their own subleaflets, growing in the same form on the leaflet as the leaflets grow on the stalk of the leaf (self-similar geometry). 26357
This beautiful photograph was taken recently from the Lower Seletar Reservoir Heritage Bridge looking towards the Orchid Country Club at sunrise.
It was slightly breezy, with some movements of the reservoir surface. The weather conditions, with the rising sun hidden behind clouds, and various cloud formations of different shapes and positions provided captivating reflections in the reservoir.

Much like a miracle drug, I was always chasing the next buzz. The trees totally entranced me from my Yak.
Now that winter is here, I still find myself dreaming of Fall. It will take awhile to adjust to the -26C temps as of right now but I will get there as winter has its beauty too, only it is a cold buzz.

I was surprised that the deer just stood in the river, with me in full sight just a short distance away. Did they feel trapped with no where to go, or were they captivated by my goat, cow, sheep, horse, deer, whispering techniques?

This photograph was taken two evenings ago from Guangzhou;s Liede Bridge looking towards Haixinsha islet (on left of photograph) with illuminated stadium, and some high-rise buildings.
The clouds and sky were progressively illuminated by the setting sun below the horizon, with captivating shapes and colours. The lit high-rise buildings provided complementary interests to the stunning cityscape.
Got up and out of the house early to get some shots before work. This is quiet a popular spot to photograph. this jetty is located at the bottom of Olivers hill in Frankston. i was lucky enough that the dense cloud blanket had cleared a but and the clouds where broken up with the sky. which also let some nice light through.

This night photograph was taken in Zhuo Zhuang Ancient Town during our visit last June. Zhuo Zhuang is a historic water town of nearly 1000 years, and is considered to be China’s Number 1 water town.
This photograph captured the captivating scene of boats in the canal. The reflections of variously illuminated buildings on either side of the canal, arch bridge and boats added to the historic feel of the watertown.

The bee balm is definitely past its prime, but I never got around to picking any this summer and I thought I should fix that before it's too late. It always reminds me of fireworks ... red bursts of color, blooming around the 4th of July. And I love the minty fragrance. Perfect!
