These leaves captivate me and I literally spend hours photographing them. The shapes are so varied and I've yet to find two alike.

You will all be glad to hear I've gone two days without any rain and am still alive. Better yet, I found myself enjoying the blue sky today. Have a great weekend everyone and take care ~ Beth =]

I had a wonderful trip to the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust at Arundel back in April but am only just getting around to editing (and deleting 100s) of these photos.

Now that I've found so many neat slot canyons just around Kanab, I have no desire to go back to overcrowded Antelope Canyon. It's unlikely you'll see anyone else in canyons like this one. And no, this isn't the more popular Peekaboo slot that you see quite often.

For 122 Pictures in 2022 #13 "Captivating", this was taken in the bird sanctuary/blind area of choke Canyon State Park, Texas. The ranger had just set out all the day's bird feed, and this guy was plotting how to steal some. His antics, particularly hanging upside down from one feeder, were quite amusing, but did seem to annoy some of the birds.

As I walk through the historic district of Lyon, known as Vieux Lyon, my camera captures the mesmerizing beauty of its doors and windows. The architectural marvels that adorn this area are a testament to the city's rich history and cultural heritage.

As I wander deeper into Vieux Lyon, I come across a hidden alleyway with cobblestone pavements. The irregular stones beneath my feet seem to whisper stories of the past, transporting me back to a time when horse-drawn carriages roamed these narrow streets. The sunlight filtering through the buildings casts a warm glow on the ancient stones, creating a magical atmosphere.

One particular photograph captures my attention—a balcony adorned with delicate wrought iron railings. The years have bestowed upon it a graceful decay, where peeling paint reveals the raw beauty of weathered wood. It serves as a testament to the passage of time and the resilience of Lyon's architectural heritage.

As I conclude my photographic journey through Vieux Lyon, I can't help but be drawn to the tantalizing aromas emanating from the nearby Bouchons Lyonnaisse. These traditional Lyon eateries offer culinary delights that perfectly complement the visual feast I have captured through my lens. The fusion of decadent constructions, ancient walls, rustic pavements, and weathered wood with the culinary delights of Lyon's Bouchons creates a harmonious blend of sensory experiences.

Lyon's historic district is truly a treasure trove of architectural wonders, where the delicate beauty of doors and windows harmoniously coexists with the gastronomic pleasures of the city. With my camera as my guide, I have had the privilege to capture a glimpse of Lyon's captivating past and present, forever preserving the allure of this enchanting city.

“There is no subject more captivating, more worthy of study, than nature." Nikola Tesla.

Among all the incredible lakes that can be found in the Dolomites, Lago di Braies is perhaps the best known nowadays. Its characteristic and photogenic wooden boats, the easy but beautiful path around the Lake, its turquoise waters in which the surrounding forests are often reflected, and the imposing silhouette of the mountain known as Croda del Becco, all this undoubtedly justifies the fame for its beauty. However, the price that must be paid for its popularity is the overcrowding of the place during most of the day, so it is much more advisable to visit it at sunset or sunrise to enjoy the place without major distractions.

In autumn, the larch trees with their golden leaves give Braies an even more special touch, but in return the water level of the lake drops dramatically, making it more difficult for the photographer to find compositions. At the end when the wind died down slightly, standing on a small rock above the water of the lake, I found a reflection that convinced me. Although the sunset seemed that it would not have much interest that day, suddenly, when the sun was hiding below the horizon, the landscape was covered with a wonderful pinkish light and I was able to capture this captivating scene.

I was in the park on a still chilly morning. The alleys and benches waited for the first walkers in quiet solitude.

I was captivated by this absolute calm of the morning park.

Every single time I see a Bluebird, I am captivated by their beauty. They are magic in my eyes. When I was growing up, I attended school in Alvaton, Kentucky. I was the sixth child of seven in the Sears family to attend this school and the mascot was the Bluebird. So I suppose this attachment started practically from birth.

Morib is a beach located in Selangor, Malaysia. Morib Beach (Pantai Morib) is a quiet seaside tourist attraction. It was one of the first landing points on the west coast for the British and Indian Army liberation forces during end of World War II in 1945. It is a small but suitable beach for swimming.

It is located near Simpang Morib, which is about 10 km from the town of Banting.[1] Morib attracts more than 10000 visitors annually notably during the month of August, festive seasons and public holidays. (Wikipedia)
