My son's current shoe, the Captain America shoe. Very cool they are too. Made by Stride Rite. I waited until they were a bit worn in before finally getting around to drawing it. This is in the Stillman and Birn Alpha book. I still have to draw this and the previous shoe in his small Moleskine collection of shoes in black and white.

Captain Stans, a Fishmongers in Bembridge High Street. Note the old K1 phone box from 1920, believed to be the oldest phone box in the UK still in use.
AKA Leonard Snart, Captain Cold is an infamous villain from the Rogues Gallery, a group of criminals that the Flash is known to fight.
Captain Cold here is the most recent figure I completed. I had a lot of fun designing his signature cold gun, and I think it turned out really well. Building his bulky parka was also a challenge, but I think it turned out really well, and it was fun to work with dark blue. His base is designed to be part of a bank. The frozen vault door on the lower level does open to reveal a mountain of money! This model is based on his appearance on the Flash television show on the CW.

Through the creations that I build, I hope to inspire other young (or perhaps older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity. We all need a positive way to express ourselves, so let's allow LEGO to be an extension of us. Your creativity belongs to you, and nobody can take that away. Build what you want to build, and how you want to build it.
Captain Davis charges into the fray. Little does he know that in front of him lurks not 400 Ugokins, but 12 kindergartners of varying species with water pistols. Man, he hates this public-relations stuff.

Assembling The Avengers - Day 4: Captain America
The final day, the First Avenger.
In anticipation of the upcoming Avengers movie I started building some pieces to be displayed at my local comic shop on FCBD this Saturday. Even though I started these around the first of March, I've just managed to get them finished in time and snapped some photos with the help of my Wife.
I wrote an article on FBTB back in October about LEGO costuming and have been experimenting with it a great deal since then. I have many projects in the works and some will probably never be widely seen, but being a Marvel Zombie I could not miss this opportunity to create a tribute to some of my favourite Avengers.

Captain America's only weapon was his shield, a concave disk 2.5 feet in diameter, weighing 12 pounds. It is made of a unique Vibranium-metal alloy that has never been duplicated. The shield was cast by American metallurgist Dr. Myron MacLain, who was contracted by the U.S. government to create an impenetrable substance to use for tanks during World War II. MacLain was never able to duplicate the process due to his inability to identify a still unknown factor that played a role in it. The shield was awarded to Captain America by the government several months after the beginning of his career. The shield has great aerodynamic properties: it is able to slice through the air with minimal wind resistance and deflection of path. Its great overall resilience, combined with its natural concentric stiffness, enables it to rebound from objects with minimal loss of angular momentum. It is virtually indestructible: it is resistant to penetration, temperature extremes, and the entire electromagnetic spectrum of radiation. The only way it can be damaged in any way is by tampering with its molecular bonding.

The days are getting on this month and I still hadn't done my monthly 365 pic of a 2 word song title.
I spied the Captain standing on my desk, and went a Googling to see if there was a song title, and bingo, Neil Diamond did Captain Sunshine, not that I'd heard of it.
Out into the garden, and the sun had inconveniently gone behind a big dark cloud, but it did eventually show it's self :)

Outside the Halcyon Gallery in New Bond Street, which is in the Mayfair district of London. An exhibition of Marvel Comic Book art called 'Heroes and Villains' had just ended. June 2015.
I cannot get enough of this character! He was kind enough to stand still so I could take his picture, so I did. :-) It took my daughter and I an hour to find him. He was by the treasure, of course.
