Waiting for the ferry in Molde, we saw this peculiar cloud. "He looks like Captain Blue Ice", my youngest son suddenly said, and I was astonished. He was even slightly blue...

I know these guys are everywhere in Caliornia making holes and lots of noise, but they are so cute. This guy had his foot up in a position that reminded me of the very recognizable logo on the Captain Morgan bottle.
Clown-faced western woodpecker with a complicated social structure, living in small colonies. Best known for its habit of hoarding acorns: the birds drill small holes in a dead snag, then harvest acorns in fall and store them in these holes, to be eaten during winter. Such a "granary tree" may be used for generations and may be riddled with up to 50,000 holes. Nesting is a group activity, with several adults (up to 12 or more) taking part in incubating the eggs and feeding the young in a single nest.
Rex lives! Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels has recently started, so I thought I would make this photo. :D
The image portrays Captain Starbeard, a cosmic pirate with an aura of mystery and adventure. His flowing gray hair and rugged beard are framed by a tricorn hat adorned with celestial trinkets. Reflecting in his ornate sunglasses is the vast expanse of Earth, hinting at his voyages across the universe. A cigarette dangles from his lips, adding to his roguish charm. The captain's intense gaze speaks of countless adventures and battles fought among the stars.

This engines first owner was Whitelocks of Conisborough, South Yorkshire and was used by them in their quarry and for stone haulage. At the outbreak of the First World War it was commandeered by the War Dept and was used by the army for haulage duties including the construction of Cranwell and West Wittering aerodromes. After the war it went to new owners in Barton on Humber and was used for general haulage. Percy Naylor of Middle Handley, near Chesterfield, purchased the engine in 1925 for use in general haulage and threshing. From 1945 it sat in a corner of Naylor's yard until 1955 when passed into preservation

These guys put 25 lines in the water, quite a bit of work. The lines are spread out over 200 feet at different depths. They use an interesting rigging system to keep the lines from tangling with each other.
"On each side a window opened into this unexplored abyss. The obscurity of the saloon showed to advantage the brightness outside, and we looked out as if this pure crystal had been the glass of an immense aquarium."

My entry to Round 1 of the 2021 Bio-Cup, the theme being Media & Entertainment. My subtheme was Comics, and after a couple days of mulling I decided on building the good captain from one of my favorite comic series of all time. Of course, it took me until the last day to recognize my build was faulty and needed to be overhauled. Oh well.
Thanks to Luterem for the touch-up once again. Album not coming unless someone wants to see how this is constructed, because he only looks good from the one angle. :P
