Marion Robert Morrison, professionally known as John Wayne and nicknamed "the Duke", was an American actor who became a popular icon through his starring roles in films which were produced during Hollywood's Golden Age, especially in Western and war movies.
Captain Nathan Brittles is the role Wayne played in She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, a 1949 American Technicolor Western film directed by John Ford and starring John Wayne. It is the second film in Ford's "Cavalry Trilogy", along with Fort Apache (1948) and Rio Grande (1950). With a budget of $1.6 million, the film was one of the most expensive Westerns made up to that time. It was a major hit for RKO. The film is named after "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon", a song popular with the U.S. military.
Captain Stripes is a marriage of stripes - those of the Union flag and the Grevy's zebra. He is a strong reminder of our royal identity and acknowledgement of our nation's commitment to wildlife protection.

I noticed this lady confidently navigating the canal under the bridge and took a little sequence (see the adjacent shots). Wish I had a longer lens, 50mm is definitely not 'paparazzo' material. The 2 closer shots are severe post-process 'zooms' (crops) and the deteriorating quality shows...

This is Phoenix Custom Bricks' 'Sleeper Agent', augmented with a bootleg shield. Love the mini figure but hate the storyline. I can't wait for this all to be explained away as an alternate reality.

ARC-77, known as "Fordo," was an Advanced Recon Commando captain in the Grand Army of the Republic. In 22 BBY, he was assigned to a task force led by the Jedi Knight General Obi-Wan Kenobi, to take the Confederate-held world of Muunilinst. Together with a group of clone troopers that would later come to be known as The Muunilinst 10, Fordo proved instrumental in the Battle of Muunilinst, leading his troops to destroy an enemy artillery emplacement, and then helping Kenobi capture the enemy leader, San Hill.
Immediately after the battle was over, Fordo was dispatched to the planet Hypori, where a group of Jedi Knights had been trapped by the Confederate General Grievous. Making their way to the Jedi's location, Fordo and his men battled Grievous, but were unable to kill him. They were, however, able to recover three survivors: Ki-Adi-Mundi, Aayla Secura, and Shaak Ti. In 19 BBY, Fordo was on Coruscant when the planet was attacked by the Confederacy. Despite facing overwhelming numbers, Fordo and his men were able to beat back a portion of the attacking force with the help of the Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Yoda.

Taking a 70-200mm on a dark ride is a lot of fun, for sure. You can get very different perspectives, tight details that may not be noticeable, or in this case, a close up portrait of the Captain himself! To me, the looks you get are all part of the fun!

Shiver me timbers, it's the 'amazing' Captain Kipper pictured entertaining the apprentice pirates down in Whitby in the Summer sunshine. He's about to demonstrate the 'guilotine of doom' on some hapless volunteer – what could possibly go wrong?
By all accounts, Captain Kipper went down a storm in the 'Kidzfield' at this year's Glastonbury Festival and it's easy to see why. A great little show me 'arties!

Captain America when Bucky Barns took over the mantle of Captain America from the comics. They won’t be following that arc in the MCU tho. Although the suit is very simple I like the design a lot so that’s why I tried to make it. I also made Captain America Peggy Carter which I’ll upload some time soon. Although I guess she won’t be Captain America. But they can’t call her Captain Britain cause that’s also a different superhero. So who knows what her name will be within the “What If” universe
