My eyes, still veiled in the haze of winter dawn setting in, saw countless enthralling paintings being created on the canvas of nature. A walk into the darkness to the sunrise bridge in Majuli was worth every step. I just hope the tranquility of Majuli and similar places is retained amid the insatiable cravings for development humans have.
A canvas I did, comissioned for Dee Massey. It's a mix of Posca pens & acrylics. 80 x 60cm (or something like that)
And here's a link to the timelapse of me making it: www.vimeo.com/clip:85951

I often wonder when i see a building such as this with graffiti covering so much of it... what was wrong with the sections that DON'T have graffiti on them? Why didn't someone paint their tag there? I have too much free time at times to think about such things....
blogged: www.shecanquilt.ca/2014/05/some-pillows-from-my-pattern-c...
My soon to be ready quilt pattern is called Canvas. It includes instructions to make these pillows too. The fabrics are the same Kona cottons on both pillows, it is interesting to see the way they interact.
15 x 11 x 4" tote made from canvas and embellished with madras. I have lined the tote with a blue cotton (matching the band). Can I just say how much I love how this turned out! It is fairly simple and lightweight but it just screams SUMMER to me!
I shot it at SONEPUR fair,Bihar,INDIA.Sonpur internationally famous for the large fair held on the occasion of Kartik Purnima, So far as religious aspect of Sonepur Fair is concerned, special significance is owing to the temple of shree Hariharnath and the site of the battle of Gaj-Grah and rescue of the former by Hari During Kartik Purnima Ganga Snan or ceremonial bathing in the Ganga is held by Hindus to be unusually efficacious. On the day of full moon (Kartik Purnima) immense crowd assembles and take bath. The Mela commences on that day and lasts for more than a fortnight. The Shiva temple, Kali temple and other temples and historical religious monuments are situated here and social and economical activities are at the highest peak during the Mela period. People come here to pay their oblation to the lords .It is the largest fair of its kind in the world, for it is a fair specially for the trade of animals. Cattle, horses, camels and elephants can be seen in large numbers. It attracts a huge number of people, not only from all over Bihar, but also from other parts of India and foreign countries.
