Sam stretches her own canvases at CFA, meaning that she attaches the blank canvas to a frame that she built before she paints on it.
It was my first mural project with sized canvas so there was a bit of a learning curve. We had some student quality acrylic paint which is good for the school since they get our leftover and there was a lot left over, but it made for a slow painting and mixing process. The finished canvas art will hang throughout the school.

We all have to earn our living somehow. For many years mine was as a painter-decorator - seen here in an unpainted room, pink plaster walls, aluminium framed window, a grey day outside.
