Finally finished this vase yesterday... I'm rather happy with how it came out. The canvas and yarn came from my grandmother who passed last summer. It just took me the better part of the year to get down to working on it as it is very intricate and rough on the hands

This was made with 7 mesh clear plastic canvas, sharp yarn needles, a little bloodshed and alot of yarn. My family gave me the yarn and canvas from my grandmother's crafting things after she passed last summer. The pattern came from a book in my grandmother's collection.
a collaborative canvas made with Finnabair.
this time we decided not to divide the canvas.
(the lady on the left a.k.a. The Eccentric - Finn's alter ego):
"shameless/an irritating tendency to be yourself/I do whatever I want!/it's weird/the queen of decadence"
(the lady on the right a.k.a. The Sophisticated Lady - my alter ego):
"unapproachable which scares away the lovers/I am ordinary/old-fashioned and shy/I need unreality"

View On Black • So, here's the shot I was preparing for in my 365 today. I've been told so often I look like a painter's muse (oh... really?!) with my hair and that I have historical face features (I do participate in 17th century reenactments), that I've decided to try this shot.
Gotta say thanks to ghostbones for the fabulous texture.
I have now started to put my photos onto canvas. As you see with the changes to make the canvas art it really brings the photo to life.
We are all artists. Have you found your canvas?
Some artists create with color or code or clay.
Others paint with people or pixels.
Some artists work with words or wisdom or wonder.
Others make with music or muscle or machines.
Life's too short to go through the motions. What ever your profession or purpose, pour your creativity in your work. Make art.
Find your canvas. Tickle your muse. Share your art and yourself with the world.

Flowers worked onto a canvas texture. Only two luminosity mask layers of the original photo were used. The fascinating technique to work with luminosity masks i have learned from the wonderful tutorial of Tony Kuyper.
Don't attend to the exif data, they are wrong here as i used an old 50mm Nikkor f1.4 lense with adapter ring.

I just had to see if the Brusho technique worked on canvas - details on my blog bevscraftspace.blogspot.co.uk/2016/08/winter-canvas.html

just a project for art. :) a stippled painting of an asahi pentax.
(ps, i ran out of white paint in the end - so it looks a bit different now *at school* )
no i don't like this at all. except for the texture of the background, it's all bumpy and it's fun to run your hands over. ;)
and no you will never get a detailed shot of this because i don't want to burn your retinas out.
