Canoeing on the River Loughor's ebbing tide past the remains of the historic Church of St Teilo's in the Marsh at Pontarddulais,West Wales,UK.The church was removed and rebuilt at the Museum of Welsh Life at St Fagans near Cardiff.
but why do they call it a canoe pool ??

Day 5 of the 7 day sunrise challenge and im stuffed !! Will i make it 2 more days ??? its raining atm so maybe i will not get to complete my sunrise challenge . Fingers crossed it clears by 530am.

Here's JJ sitting under a tropical looking parasol at the Canoe Lake Cafe! Sadly it's not as sunny today, just grey and slightly damp!
My foot was aching so I persuaded Tim and JJ to have a cup of tea and rest stop in the cafe at the end of the Canoe Lake.
PET scan day today - hopefully the last in a while! Results from it next week.

A few more canoes added to my collection. I made these out of birch that I gathered from one of our downed trees, small poplar twigs, and raffia.
They're small, just over 2" long.

...pic as I made my way to Rangitoto Island in a 1-person Outrigger Canoe (aka a OC1).

I saw these canoes at Arley, moored on the River Severn.
I love the patterns they make.
They are used for trips paddling 10.5 miles
downstream from Bridgenorth to Arley and then
there is a return journey to Bridgenorth by
Steam Train on the Severn Valley Railway.
