Aquatic plants near shore of Hoople Island, Lake St. Lawrence. The distance between the rock and our hull about half a foot. In some calm water where it's relatively clear. Unfortunately, no fish!

Back to our December walk to the seafront, and after we'd walked past the South Parade Pier, we decided to come home via the Canoe Lake. Not sure the birds were socially distancing but the people weren't doing too badly.

A canoe makes it way up Lake Raven in Huntsville State Park south of the City of Huntsville, Texas. Lake Raven is named after Sam Houston, who lived in and is buried in Huntsville. As a young man and before he came to Texas, Houston lived with the Cherokee for a time and was given the Cherokee name, Colonneh, meaning Raven.

During our evening paddle on Canada Day over Lake Louisa there was impressive clouds that we stopped to view and focus on as a guided image for future canoeing.

I covered the Big Island Interscholastic Federation 5-mile canoe races for West Hawaii Today newspaper on Saturday. This was not one of the photos I submitted for publication.

This is the Waiakea High School boys team.

I was positioned on a boat in open ocean.

Sunrise at Kearney Lake, Algonquin Park, ON

As nice as the sunrise looked to me, I'm sure it was even more beautiful for the canoeists.

Canoes on Rudyard Lake, Staffordshire

we were camping at Bottomless Lake State Park in New Mexico with Boy Scouts and while the scouts were cooking dinner, I ran over to the lake to take pictures of the sunset. There was a couple who were canoeing there and it made for a great picture.

Kodomo no Kuni (Children's Country) is quite a place to visit/play. Could easily spend days there and still not fully explore everything.

1xp (raw) HDR rendered photo taken with my arm extended of the four of us (Austin is in front of Chizuko) as we canoe around the lake in the "Lake Country" section of the park.

No canoes on Canoe Lake but plenty of birdlife. Here's JJ with a few of them! The sand has presumably been blown over from the beach.

Despite very cold, biting coastal wind and grey, overcast winter clouds there were still folks out sea kayaking off North Berwick. I normally prefer shooting in B&W for people watching shots, but given their bright clothing I thought I would stick to colour this time.

This was taken on Moraine lake just about 10 minutes from lake louise

As I was looking through old photos I'd taken I started to look at the negatives instead of my prints and found there were a large number I didn't have prints of (or gave away). Makes me wonder how many other shots I have that I have forgotten about. Probably taken during high school years in the mid-90s

These were shot at an Explorer canoe race held in north central Arkansas along the White River.

Tim went back to work at the beginning of August, but we wanted to enjoy his last days away from the warehouse. JJ had already gone to his new office, so the two of us took a picnic to the Canoe Lake.

Heading back into the city after a canoe ride on the canal at Djurgården. A good workout and a nice way to see the city.
