A 1:2000 scale model of Central Plaza in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, China created specifically for 3d printing.
The images you see here were all used at some stage on one of my own 3D CAD models. I made them all myself of course, and you are welcome to take whatever you like. I am a very "messy" modeler myself, and I model in order to get renderings, not necessarily perfectly crafted models. My pictures reflect that as well, and some may need editing for your purposes first. If some haven't quite got the right colour for your purpose, you know the trick, I presume: Photoshop, "Replace Colour" function.

Como no Brasil, fazia moda intima, tinha (tenho alguns) muitos livros e apostilhas de modelagem industrial.
Nelas, se apredem como fazer cada modelo.
Havia tanta coisa interessante de modelagem. Perdi e alguns foram roubados.
A antiga Fábrica de Plásticos Pepe fez uma edição limitada de 100 exemplares de cada modelo do mítico Volkswagen Carocha, mais conhecido como o carro do povo. Um tesouro para coleccionares e todos os que brincaram com modelos iguais na infância!

Last generation of design in Lego of my custom steam locomotive. After this, I moved the design to Immersive Railroading where the design changed over two different CAD models, the newest being made by me. This is the final generation where the engine has trailing and pilot trucks between the two engines.

My first functional print! I found this egg cup on Thingyverse. I finally finished calibrating my printer and wanted to print something right away. This egg cup was just about the right size to determine if everything was dialed in without wasting a ton of material. The results were amazing!

Built in 1987 by Richard Fletcher, at first as a sedan, it ended up as this 6-wheeled, 20-foot-long space ship looking ride. The manufacturer’s plan was to create a concept car as if it had been designed by Studebaker stylists in the 1950s. He called it the XF58.
The body was mainly hand-formed using the sheet metal from the Studebaker and a 1960 Cadillac. A later Cad model also provided the engine for the 500 ci.
In 2018, it was sold at Russo & Steele’s auction in Scottsdale, AZ, for $38,500.

These are physical parts from the CAD model in my previous photo. The white one on the left is an SLS prototype, a type of 3-D printing in nylon. We do this in-house at DEKA. I got them in a couple of hours after providing a PDF drawing with (3) dimensions on it, and my CAD file exported to STL. The black one on the right is a real one, injection molded in an ABS-PC blend. After a career of avoiding molded plastic parts because of time and tooling cost considerations on low volumes, I'm blown away by what can be done now.
After the STL parts fit-checked OK, I provided the supplier (Proto-Mold) an export of my CAD file (STP). No drawing at all was required. Without paying any expedite fees, we got 25 parts (all that will ever be produced of this design most likely) and the tooling in about two weeks for just under $2,000. If for some reason we do need more, we can get them anytime on short notice for $2.50 apiece and a setup charge. For about double that, we could have got the parts in a couple of days.
These parts are required for electrical insulation, and will allow the shipment of $25,000 machines. A machined plastic part could have been designed for the same function, and that is what I would have done up till now. That would have cost thousands of dollars more.
Technology is a pain in the ass pretty often, but it is a wonderful thing, too.

The images you see here were all used at some stage on one of my own 3D CAD models. I made them all myself of course, and you are welcome to take whatever you like. I am a very "messy" modeler myself, and I model in order to get renderings, not necessarily perfectly crafted models. My pictures reflect that as well, and some may need editing for your purposes first. If some haven't quite got the right colour for your purpose, you know the trick, I presume: Photoshop, "Replace Colour" function.

Last generation of design in Lego of my custom steam locomotive. After this, I moved the design to Immersive Railroading where the design changed over two different CAD models, the newest being made by me. This is the final generation where the engine has trailing and pilot trucks between the two engines.
