This exquisite range’s name was coined after those 20 initial barrels. Pinot Noir was followed by Cabernet Sauvignon in 1997, Merlot in 1998, Chardonnay - Cono Sur’s first ultra-premium white wine - in 2002, and the latest member of the family, Sauvignon Blanc, in 2005.

Fresno State general viticulture 101 students harvested Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and recorded yield data in the campus vineyard as part of a yield mapping experiment. Students were assigned equidistant points on a fishnet grid, and counted numbers of plants and clusters to decide the yield for a certain vine and determining variability. It was the first time that exercised was conducted by the class in the vineyard by new faculty member Dr. Luca Brillante and will allow for comparisons in the future. 2004 Il Cuore Cabernet Sauvignon, Mendocino County, California.
Notes: A little pre-dinner drink with some cheeses. I did not care for this wine at all. I took one sip and didn't venture further. It tasted like grape juice diluted with water. Very weak with a forgettable flavor profile.
bought this from the supermarket in orgiva when running low on wine. what is going on in that picture?
I picked this up at the local wine shop because it was rated a "best value" 2005 from Wine Spectator, and it was nicely priced. On sale this was only $9.99. I loved it. I don't know much about describing what I like yet, but it was very smooth, I think medium-bodied. Not too spicy, definitely not sweet, and very drinkable. Great everyday wine for ten bucks.
