Castro district, San Francisco, CA.
Klippan, Gothenburg.
C comes from the same letter as G or g. The Semites named it gimel. The sign is possibly adapted from an Egyptian hieroglyph for a staff sling, which may have been the meaning of the name gimel. Another possibility is that it depicted a camel, the Semitic name for which was gamal.
This image is part of a project in the making. I aim to collect all the letters of the alphabet. I could be from signs, posters or whatever fits the bill.

C-FOX arranged to have Billy Idol on the radio live. Peter, the record rep asked if I wanted to be there. Well YES. There was no time delay to live air and maybe there should have been. The place to be was the program manager's office, I was told he was jumping up and down yelling "you can't say that on my radio station."
