Last day of summer! I took this photo last Sunday on my visit to a park on Illinois it was a very hot day and so humid I can't believe today we are in the 60s a big difference.
Have a lovely weekend! :) HFF!
Today is the Day

Un abrazo, un beso y un viaje. La lluvia, la mujer, la despedida...El instante queriendo congelarlo...las gotas de la nostalgia sin mirar atrás...
A fledgling Eurapeon Staling (Sturnus vulgaris) watching as one of it's parents flies away.
A House Sparrow buddy looks on.
Sadly they're finished for the season but they were incredibly pretty - and seemed plentiful - this year.
Tu esperanza ya sabe su tamaño
y es por eso que no habrá quién la destruya.
Ya no te sentirás sólo ni extraño.
Vida tuya tendrás, y muerte tuya.
Ha pasado otro año y otro año le has ganado a tus sombras
¡Aleluya!

If you want to know a little bit more about me as a Photographer:
Thanks to my contacts who left messages wondering where I've been. I'm still alive, still working on my Project 365 and yes, still painting. After being active on Flickr for almost a year, I think it's time I took a break.
The last photo taken before moving house and shot through the patio door. The first photo edited since reading German instructions to assemble a desk and getting the PCU set up today...never knew I could read so much German!
We are just about to have a short break away so I may not have access to good wifi during the next week or so. I will try to access flickr to see all your shots and keep in contact but otherwise, take care everyone. It's been a year now since Jenny's parents went into Aged Care and we had no idea how hard that journey would be for them or us. While most of the folks who work in that area do their best, there is no doubt it is the forgotten land, chronically underfunded, supported and understaffed. The sad thing is, most of us will end up there one day and for some, and their families it will be a disgraceful way to end a life. And my in-laws are at a reasonably well run facility!
In the meantime, this is sunset in suburban Scarborough in Redcliffe in metropolitan Brisbane's northern suburbs.
It's supposed to rain next week, sure picked our dates well. Stocked up on books from the library.
A KCSM leader makes for a more than welcome surprise on the Moffat Tunnel sub, seen here leading the 2CMSEY9-23: empty coal hoppers for the Craig Branch.
Our cat PeeWee died Monday the 21st of Feb. very unexpectedly.
We found her 13 years ago in the back yard, a tiny three week old kitten covered with fleas.
We sure will miss her.
November 2016 Supermoon setting behind the
Waldo Canyon Fire Burn Scar as the Rocky Mountains glow red/orange from the morning sunrise
Colorado Springs, CO.
At 24 hours past its peak, I suppose this is no longer really a true "Supermoon", however it was a wonderful sight to watch as I started my day ...
Note: Having taken several photos shortly after moonrise the past couple of days, I also observed that the PoV changes between moonrise and moonset such that the moon appears to rotate more than 90 degrees during its travel across the sky. This explains why the orientation of the craters often appears so different between one moon photograph and another. :)
Here's a great song from the Indian movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. It is called Tujhe Mein Dikhta hai.
