I hiked around this beautiful lake to try to get a shot of Denali, which had been out, bold and impressive. But of course the clouds moved in and blocked the view when I got here. Was a wonderful hike and scene so was well worth it.

It's the end of another year, always a good time for reflection. This morning at the Soulajule Reservoir, near Walkers Creek, Marin County, California.
Today is day 220 of Project 365 (New Year's Eve).
A male Yellow-rumped Warbler displaying some beautiful flying routines. Felt fortunate to be in the right spot at the perfect time.
The morning after Hurrican Dorian passed South Carolina, the skies were clear, and the Atlantic beach was back to normal. A near miss for South Carolina.
Well, I am not usually one for speeches, so , Bye bye Summer Time , where every day was a holiday and every night was a Saturday night

Bringing this Mockingbird into focus took some doing, but I like the way it came out. I wrestled with leaving the silhouette as is, until I saw what it looked like with some detail and a texture. I liked the mood.

Die olympischen Spiele sind zu Ende. Ich war 2008 dort. Auf Grund der Gefährdung hatte ich nur eine kleine Kamera mit. Daher entspricht das Bild nicht mehr heutigen Ansprüchen. Aber es ist eine bleibende Erinnerung.
The Olympic Games are over. I was there in 2008. Due to the danger I had just a small camera. Therefore, the image no longer corresponds to today's requirements. But it is a lasting memory.
