En weer een oude veteraan uit dienst om vervolgens te worden verslonden en weder te keren als koekblik. De SGMm loopt op zijn laatste benen (wielen ;) ) en dat was goed te merken op de 11e van december aan de open raampjes en hordes fotografen langs de lijn. Onder de 'hemelpoorten' vermaakt SGMm 2993 zich welke onderweg is van Utrecht Centraal naar Almere Centrum. Ook de NABO hier tussen Hollandsche Rading en Hilversum Sportpark zal binnenkort verdwijnen en vervangen worden door een tunnel. Meer plaatjes volgen snel!

Polly was a lutina budgerigar that arrived to our family together with Pino the torquise one) in 2017. Throughout the years we have lost some of our budgerigars for different reasons. We have had 6 budgies in total and now only 2 are remaining. Last night Polly took her last breath,
As you can see in the picture Pino wanted to mate with her and for this reason we put a nest for them to start a family. Unfortunately Polly was too sick to procreate but instead she found a place to spend her last weeks of life. She was happy, fed by Pino and had everything she needed in her 5 years of life...
Polly rest well wherever your soul is ....you were a true beautiful yellow lutina bird that gave so much to our whole family and to both Pino and Lisa, that are both calling and missing you today!

On my last visit to the Zoo before the virus shut down, I said good good bye to my friend "Jessica" , a western lowland gorilla (Gorilla, gorilla, gorilla). Jessica was born 10/1/80 and came to the San Diego from Philadelphia. She is the mother of 6 - all boys and lives with her and her partner "Paul Donn" at the SanDiego Zoo.

Our last view of Australia for a couple of weeks as we set sail across the Tasman Sea to New Zealand. I will resume the trip in just over a week as we are on half term holiday now.
In addition to the iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge we also passed by the curiously named Pinchgut Island, which houses Fort Denison.
Fort Denison, part of the Sydney Harbour National Park, is a protected national park that is a heritage-listed former penal site and defensive facility occupying a small island located north-east of the Royal Botanic Garden and approximately 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) east of the Opera House in Sydney Harbour, New South Wales, Australia. The island is also known as Mattewanye or Muddawahnyuh in the Eora language, and as Pinchgut Island.
The site contains time gun, navigational aids and tide gauge facilities. Correctional and military facilities were designed by George Barney and built from 1840 to 1862 by William Randle. The property is owned by the Office of Environment & Heritage, an agency of the Government of New South Wales. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. In 1978 the former fortress was listed on the (now defunct) Register of the National Estate, and is currently used as a national park, nature reserve, tourist facility, and as a function space.
The Amtrak California Zephyr #5 makes its way around the many curves of Byers Canyon. The canyon is approximately 8 miles (13 km) long and is located in the headwaters region of the Colorado between Hot Sulphur Springs and Kremmling.
After this Terrible semester finialy I will leave London and go back Home ( Qatar ^_^)

Kovalam (Inde) - Une dernière photo du port de pêche de Kovalam. Ce lieu qui était plutôt tranquille a probablement perdu de son intérêt depuis que j’ai réalisé cette série de photo. La raison ? L’urbanisation galopante. La mosquée, nouvellement construite, plusieurs projets d’hôtels. Peut-être la pandémie aura-t-elle mis un arrêt à cette frénésie urbanistique ?

Kovalam (India) - A last photo of the fishing port of Kovalam. This place which was rather quiet has probably lost its interest since I made this series of photos. The reason ? Rampant urbanization. The mosque, newly built, several hotel projects. Perhaps the pandemic will have put a stop to this urban planning frenzy?
