Studio 26 - Bokeh
I took some more images this evening, when the ambient light was lower, to bring out the dark golden color of the bokeh. By putting Buzz in almost-profile position, I was able to get *most* of his face in focus. But, oh my. I took SOOO many images and had such difficulty deciding between ones with better focus, ones with better bokeh, and ones in which Buzz had a better posture/expression. There is one new one in my private set with a really cute head tilt that I almost used. But I wasn't as pleased with the bokeh.
Buzz A Rama, "The place to race"-- is the only slot car racing arcade remaining in the 5 boroughs of NYC. This place has been around for 45 years, and upon entering you feel like you have been caught in an 70's-80's time warp. From seeing the faces of the little (and big) kids here you know the Buzz has withstood the test of all the Nintendo, iphone games, etc.. This is a little secret gem located in the Kensington neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Buzz is missing four primaries in his left wing. He reportedly had all flight feathers in place when he was boxed in the morning at rehab. we don't know how he lost four primaries.
I am really busy at the moment because we are shifting to another place so I will catch up when I can.. thank you all so much for your wonderful comments and faves xxx

Buzz Carpet by Janna van Hasselt for SCAPE Public Art Season 2016.
Buzz Carpet is an interactive ground mural which truly engulfs its site. A ludic tension between the planar and dimensional spaces creates a skin with an ambiguous sense of figure and ground. The pattern is derived from the stitches in crochet and mimics the makeup of surrounding building sites that form its backdrop. Visitors can engage directly with the piece on many different levels and will be dazed by its intense colour buzz.
