I took the idea of being buttoned up and played with an invitation set that is so well put together that it incorporates buttons! I pulled earthy tones and started with a chocolate brown button and string square envelope.
Then I added some embellishment. I added a single button to both the Invitation and RSVP card with string going around the cards.
Everything in this set revolves around an earthy palette and attention to details. The string is yellow and green, the backer card is recycled kraft paper and the chocolate envelopes couldn’t be any more perfect.
Add a chunky cardi with a button-up shirt and pencil skirt
Yes, I am missing the pencil skirt! I have a children's photo shoot which inevitably involves me on the floor and a skirt just wont work. So, I substituted jean. Had to. I love this button down with it's ruffle cuffs and collar. And I gave the whole thing a southwestern edge with my boots and belt and turquoise jewelry. Overall, it is a really comfortable outfit. And I think if I substituted a denim pencil skirt for the jeans it would still work great.
