you know you have it bad when you start seeing the laundry as a photo opportunity

I took the idea of being buttoned up and played with an invitation set that is so well put together that it incorporates buttons! I pulled earthy tones and started with a chocolate brown button and string square envelope.

Then I added some embellishment. I added a single button to both the Invitation and RSVP card with string going around the cards.

Everything in this set revolves around an earthy palette and attention to details. The string is yellow and green, the backer card is recycled kraft paper and the chocolate envelopes couldn’t be any more perfect.

Cheltenham Wetlands Park was once part of the U.S. Naval Radio Station, Cheltenham, Maryland. It was commissioned in 1939.

“The original antenna fields, comprising creosoted wood telephone poles and metal antenna towers, were located in the acreage surrounding the buildings. All metal antenna poles have been removed from the installation. Some abandoned creosoted wood poles remain in the wooded and swampy sections of the installation.

Established as a radio receiving station before World War II, the installation's mission evolved to administration during the Cold War era.”

97% cotton/3% spandex, medium fitted button up with ruched sides

This was a very old, raggy cotton shirt that was just one of the many things I got from my gramma. I wasn’t real sure how to alter it, but with my new $160 dress form (not the terrible duck tape dress form that fell apart on me…:\) I figured I’d just cut away and see what happens!

Day 71

December 19

Katherine ready to go out into the cold England weather!

Button up your coats Mounties, for the first snow of Winter has descended upon Cresson.

You just wrap the leather around your wrist and button it up.

Is it too tight? Well then… loosen the knot!

Too loose? Just tighten it up.

Simple!

We’re getting a little creative and doing a little good, because this year’s holiday card just got that much ‘cooler’.

We’re designers; so, we know all too well that there’s little better than a warm cup of coffee! Well, except for a free warm cup of coffee. This holiday season, enjoy the next few rounds on us!

While we’re in the giving spirit, we also know all too well that the Washington, D.C. homeless in our own backyard struggle to stay warm during the cold winter nights; and, a cup of coffee just isn’t enough!

This year we start our “Button-Up” campaign; sending a little something out to our family, friends and clients, as well as giving a little more back to our community! In addition to a few good cups, we’ve also donated the same value on your behalf to Martha’s Table; a local organization aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty by providing educational programs, food, clothing and enrichment opportunities.

Because Bill asked about the bunny button (and I don't remember what I did with it), here are some of my current selections.
