Daley will most likely be having another knee surgery in about 2 weeks time.
His knee is still dislocating.
Mega sad face :(
The American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) is a medium-sized, solidly built, short haired dog whose early ancestors came from England and Ireland. It is a member of the Molosser breed group. The American Staffordshire Terrier and The American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) by breed are from the same lineage; Staffordshire’s was the name given by AKC, and American Pit Bull Terriers by UKC. The real difference between the two breeds is 6–8" in height and 25–35 lb in weight; the American Staffordshire Terrier being the larger of the two.
The dog was bred first to bait bulls and bears. When bear-baiting and bull-baiting were deemed inhumane, rat-baiting and dog fighting became more popular. The APBT Breed was used in both sports, and its prevalence in being put in pits with rats, or other dogs led to "pit" being added to its name.

This Holiday, give the gift of hope and purchase...
Hope and Ability Certificates
"Phoenix Assistance Dogs of Central PA’s mission is to assist individuals living with a broad range of disabilities in finding and training their own assistance dogs which provide greater independence in their lives. They also locate, raise and train dogs to to provide greater independence with individuals with disabilities that cannot train their own assistance dog."
PAD holds small, intimate, primarily one on one classes to teach individuals how to train their dogs to become the fabulous, hard working assistance dogs that we all know so much about. Additionally, we also train one assistance dog at a time for an individual that is unable to train their own assistance dog. It costs approximately $15,000 to place each assistance dog, but we continue to strive to place each dog free of cost to the individual in need. PAD relies solely on donations to provide these services.
This year, please consider giving the gift of hope and purchase Hope and Ability Certificates. Instead of racking your mind to find a gift that you can only hope a person needs or wants, give them a gift that they will never forget. Hope and Ability Certificates even make great stocking stuffers, and best of all they come in any amount (unlike the Visa or other gift cards that start at $25!)
Hope and Ability Certificates can be purchased in person, via PayPal, or will even be mailed upon arrival of a check being mailed us!
The certificate is a beautifully designed 4x5 double sided color postcard where the recipient will not only learn about their gift, but also be inspired by providing the hope of increased ability! See sample certificate.
Please consider spreading hope, and buy someone this beautiful certificate for the Holidays.

Young dark solid blue grey female American Pit Bull Terrier with small white markings on chest and toes. Blue pit bulls are brought into this shelter daily and most will be killed. Complain to countypets.com about their pit bull killing policy.
The Owner has three working days to claim the dog or it will be euthanized due to breed as this city facility does not adopt out to the public. Stop the pit bull overpopulation!
Such a stocky little guy...it's so hard to look at all of these adorable dogs and not be able to squeeze them!

He was walking around like this for quite some time, he didn't even try to get the sunglasses off his head lol such a dopey thing.
Dark chocolate brown and white female American Pit Bull Terrier with upright bat ears and piebald half white face, seems well cared for and sits nicely.
Possible mix? Harris County Animal Control destroys all pit bulls and mixes of when their owners don't claim them in three days. Pit bulls are not adopted to the public. Blue bully pit bulls are not rare and the pit bull population is out of control in Houston. Upset about this? Ask countypets.com to change its policy.

Poor red nosed fawn or light tan or buckskin nursing mother pit bull terrier! There are three brindle pups that might be hers and this gal looks like she's had more than one litter. She has three days to be claimed by her owner or a valid 501c3 rescue group or she will be euthanized due to breed, as this city shelter doesn't adopt pit bulls/mixes to the public. Complain to coutypets.com about their pit bull killing policy.

Here's a great example of why breed specific legislation based on visual ID doesn't work. Judging only from this photo, I'm not sure if this is a small heavy boned, box faced American Bulldog or if it's a regular sized American Pit Bull Terrier or a mix of both or neither. The eye placement and ear set along with the short muzzle and rear conformation look like an American Bulldog, but I've seen purebred APBTs with similar features. The poor guy looks malnourished and down on his hocks but still manages to wag his tail. Luckily, he's been labeled a "Boxer mix" and will have a chance at being adopted if he's not claimed, which his condition hints will probably not happen. If you are an American Bulldog conformation person, let me know what you think this one might be, as I don't really see the Boxer in him.
This is a great keepsake for your "fur baby", so they can travel and be with you always.

The American Pit Bull is medium-sized, and has a short coat and smooth well-defined muscle structure. Its eyes are round to almond shaped, and its ears are small to medium in length and can be natural or cropped. The tail is slightly thick and tapers to a point. The coat is glossy, smooth, short, and stiff to the touch. The accepted coat color can vary widely, but, both the AKC and UKC do not recognize merle coloring.
Twelve countries in Europe, as well as Australia, Canada, Ecuador, Malaysia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and Venezuela have enacted some form of breed-specific legislation on pit bull-type dogs, including American Pit Bull Terriers, ranging from outright bans to restrictions and conditions on ownership. The state of New South Wales in Australia places restrictions on the breed, including mandatory sterilization. A few counties, and cities in the United States as well as the Province of Ontario in Canada, have outright banned ownership of the American Pit Bull terrier, and the breed is banned in the UK. ~ Wikipedia®
