The butterfy bushes are a nectar buffet for Monarch butterflies during their migration south. Taken at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison, Connecticut.
There are still all kinds of flowers blooming creating a Fall butterfly's buffet. This one was in a patch of bright zinnias.
During my road trip with my daughter, we stopped at some antique malls and I picked up this buffet and got home and forgot all about it. The doll that came with it is gone but all the accessories are in the box and labled. There are wine glasses and a tiny butter dish among the contents. I love the style of this piece. Number five (or six) Barbie is wearing a vintage Mattel kimono. She makes a lovely hostess I think.

On Christmas day we always have a cold buffet.

This year: smoked salmon with tartare sauce, some big prawns, potato salad, lobster pate, filled eggs with shrimps, small tomates crevettes sprinkled with fresh parsley.

The Flickr Lounge-Food
We had a little shopping to do yesterday so stopped off at the Spring Buffet for lunch. It was my first time there in a month. The food is pretty good here, best Chinese Buffet that I've ever eaten at actually! They prepare the food in their kitchen.

Inspired by my own little buffet that sits in my kitchen. Please decorate any way you wish but mine usually has a bowl of fruit, a small lamp, sugar bowl, paper and a pen sitting upon the top. The inside stores a maze of my favorite baking items.

Le Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris organise une rétrospective de l’œuvre de Bernard Buffet (1928 - 1999), considéré comme l’un des peintres français les plus célèbres du XXème siècle, mais également l’un des plus discutés. À travers une sélection d’une centaine de peintures, l’exposition propose une relecture d’une œuvre qui a été en réalité très peu vue.
Le parcours, organisé selon une présentation chronologique, s’ouvrira sur les débuts de Bernard Buffet, au moment où ses œuvres renouvellent le sens de tout un répertoire de formes et d’objets. Le contexte artistique de l’après-guerre, moment de débats autour de la question des réalismes, de la figuration et de l'abstraction, sera évoqué. Il s’agira de révéler le peintre comme un artiste paradoxal, qui se réfère à la peinture d’histoire à une époque de la disparition du sujet, qui allie peinture austère et aisance financière, grand succès public et rejet du monde de l’art.

Amazing place. Kings Chinese Buffet in Vacaville, CA. It had six different stations of food and everything we tried was delicious. (The front of this station was a huge oyster bar)
