I just now uploaded a reworked version of this painting I posted. I redid the bear and did a little more changes to the mountains and added some shading. (12-29-24)
Now the thing I don't like is that I put the bear right in the center. Bad, bad. But I'm done fiddling with this one. It is what it is

There were three eagles menacing this flock of America coots off shore of Penticton Beach. My first instinct for those coots is to get out of Dodge. There are plenty of other water sources in the area, why pick the one with a family of eagles. The eagles were at it every evening, like clockwork just after sunset - Doge City. This particular evening they came up empty despite many dives with talons down in amongst the flock. The coots were terrified the eagles coming at them from different directions.
Bird Buffet this little fellow cant decide, peanuts or seed so he took his time to do so, shot in North Carolina.
Chinese and Korean Buffet restaurant, late night, very rough freehand shot walking home from cinema.
After placing bird feeders in our back yard we've had several new species of birds arrive. Among them are American Goldfinch's. I've seen one (maybe two) in the past 23 years we've lived here but this year many have descended upon our abode. This male seems choosy in his food selection.
Since I can't travel because of the current pandemic I might as well take advantage of the opportunities that're right under my nose.
Korean Buffet restaurant below tenement flats on Dundee Street at night. Quick snap with the phone camera from opposite side of the road - I didn't expect it to work at all, but the bright lights illuminating the loud, orange sign made it worth a try. Not as sharp as the big camera on a tripod, but for a handheld with the phone it's better than I expected.

Shot on the same day as my previous post, another example the numerous insects who utilize Goldenrod. Did you see all of them? Are you sure?
Assuming that the flying blur is a bee, there are 3 bees, a Webworm Moth and a Monarch Butterfly, of course.
Wait! You also saw the ant, right?

PhotoExif - Camera: Lomo Lubitel 166, Film: Fuji Provia 400 H.
One of the first shots taken with the Lubitel 166. I was looking for some nice colourful subjects as I had never used Fuji Pro 400h before and I wanted to see how it performed.
Something else I have been trying is an app on my phone called PhotoExif which allows me to record my camera settings and then embed them into the file much like a digital camera would. You should be able to see the EXIF data diplayed to the right if you are on a desktop machine or in the "i" section on the Flickr app. It seems pretty good so far but have discover that if I add a border in Aviary like I often do I loose all the EXIF data which is a shame. Also not too sure why it says Canon Lomo Lubitel 166, I think it may be because I used a Canon scanner to scan the negative.
still posting birthday pics - her ideas were too cute not to share. Each child was given their own ice cube tray to sample from.
