Whenever I see my 4 year-old nephew, I load up my Fuji Instax Mini and let him shoot with it. He loves taking pictures, but has only really shot with a digital. The whole "viewfinder" concept is a little fuzzy to him, but we're working on it...

Some sweet basil seeds I started about two weeks ago have sprouted!

I'm regretting getting all my Christmas cards sorted now. It would have been nice to print a couple with this photo on.

A rose with the smell of a warm spring afternoon, at the Thabor park in Rennes.

Glittering sparkling world after the ice-storm. This was the fun part of the day. The rest of the day I spent with the ax, sledge hammer and shovel, chipping away at the driveway one tiny bit at a time so we could get out of the garage... and out of the house.

Cutts for chip budding in late summer

A weed from my yard (don't know what it is) that had a lot of buds on it. There is something about this picture I don't like, but I can't pinpoint it; help would be appreciated. But, overall, I do kinda like the picture.

We have a really beautiful Magnolia in our front yard and because it's been a bit warm this winter it's confused and starting to bud. A little rain last night to put some moisture on the leaves and an f/1.4 lens added a bit of flavor.

After a day of rain, the sun came out in the early evening. Since my wife was at work, I went to Northeast Park and took a short photo walk.

a budding rose; charming, vibrant and full of promise that it would one day grow up to be the most beautiful thing in the world.

At The Green-Wood Cemetery.

Didn't know if this sorta thing worked as an inverted panel?

Tulip on black.

There isn't much colour to see yet on this tulip, so I thought I'd try a B&W conversion.

Breaking away from "Single In April", I was looking through my sets and realized that this lens (Vivitar 75-300/4.5-5.6) actually creates impressive and smooth bokeh. I decided to have some fun with some of the buds that are coming to life after the past few days of rain and warmth!
