These bubbles literally float in mid-air. At the bottom of the chamber is dry ice, giving off carbon dioxide. The bubbles descend and "rest" on the carbon dioxide layer. They just float in one place until they pop.

I was playing around with bubbles this morning. It is in the 20's in Houston, and I thought I would see if I could freeze some bubbles. Didn't work, but still had some fun photos.
That's right!! I bought a giant bubble wand from Tesco and then got the camera out :)
