I made this cute Oliver+S Bubble dress for little Bella. I used the bird print in natural from Michelle Engel Bensko's Dogwood line for the outside of the dress and Kona Medium Pink for the lining. I love making this dress, it has cute sleeves, fun peekaboo back, a gentle bubble and the scallops on the sides are such a pretty detail. I used grey buttons on the back and sewed in a "Handmade by" tag to the inside front of the dress.
I made this dress for little Isabel (size 18-24 months) using the Oliver and S Bubble Dress Pattern. I added little inset pockets to the side front of the dress, this was an experiment and they are a bit low, note for next time. The outer fabric is a feedsack print I bought from a quilt shop a while ago and I don't know it's name, I think the lining is an Amy Butler solid. As always I had a ton of trouble with the button holes (I sewed them 10 times!) This dress was a wearable test for the pockets, I will make another for Isabel Rose soon in blue.

Comments: This dress came together REALLY smoothly. In fact, I think it's the quickest item of apparel I've ever sewn!
I like peter pan collars on adults, haven't quite made up my mind if I like this in kiddie sizes so I've left it out this time.
+ 1 in comments. Some more photos I took of the pink set but wasn't initially happy with them. Now I think stuff it, why not post the photos. I love the pink anyway.

I attended to Momolita sewing class on making a Bubble dress. It is my second class I attended to with her.
The fabric was too thick to get into my machine to make button holes (and I even tried hammering it into shape) so it has hook and bar fasteners hidden on the inside.
I made the Glinda Bubble Dress from the Broadway show Wicked. It has about 20 total yards of fabric and 25,000 hand sewn sequins
