My pattern and fabric selection for the Challenge.
I'm pretty aware that I've set myself some rather ambitious goals. Nevertheless, a girl can dream, right?

I wanted this dress so badly when it first came to Target, but now I am glad I couldn't afford it, because I got it brand new at the thrift store for less than a fraction of the price!

I made the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses for my cousin's wedding. The flower girl's dress is in a violet floral feedsack print using the Oliver and S Bubble Dress Pattern, with addition of a mulberry sash and bloomers underneath. The bridesmaid dresses are made of mulberry Kona cotton as the main color and thistle as the accent, they are from the Amy Butler Lotus dress pattern with the puffed sleeves, I added the sashes.
It was a lot of work to make all of the dresses (only 3 in all) but I think they turned out beautifully and the girls loved wearing them at the wedding.
I borrowed my sister's new Middie to try on the new Hamster hill dollwear bubble dress and Knitty Kitty helmet. I love them Heather!!!! ♥
My husband doesn't "understand" the concept behind bubble dresses. He finds the hem is a bit awkward.
So, I'm trying to change his mind, lol (this was also done for the KCWC Spring 2012).
I love the construction of this dress and the way it looks on my little girl.
Soft and pretty.

Pattern: Bubble dress, Oliver+S (size 4, but I wish it was a size 5)
Fabric: Liberty Toria in Blue and white pique broadcloth for lining
Could not get decent full length shots because of the mess in my sewing room, but these are bubble dresses.
I love this pattern.First time making it, but man is it hard to get a decent pic of my little girl. I know this is a spring and summer dress. But I make it for fall/winter. I think it will work well with a pair of tights and a cardigan.

I made this cute Oliver+S Bubble dress for little Bella. I used the bird print in natural from Michelle Engel Bensko's Dogwood line for the outside of the dress and Kona Medium Pink for the lining. I love making this dress, it has cute sleeves, fun peekaboo back, a gentle bubble and the scallops on the sides are such a pretty detail. I used grey buttons on the back and sewed in a "Handmade by" tag to the inside front of the dress.
