Bubble Bather Noreen Roth flashes a disarming smile, as she poses prettily for the camera in this cloud of filmy bubbles. Noreen is the former Apple Blossom Queen of Wenatchee, Washington, who caught the eye of M-G-M talent observer when she came to Hollywood for a vacation two years ago. Now she is one of the glamorous Ziegfeld Girls in the screen's first "Ziegfeld Follies," which boasts the most glittering array of Hollywood's stars ever to be seen in one picture. Arthur Freed produced and Vincente Minnelli directed.

My hubby ran me a bubble bath today. When i got to the bathroom, i found that he'd decorated the room with candles. I had to take a shot when i'd finished my bath. this is an 8 sec exposure. I did experiment with blowing on the flames to capture movement but i actually liked the clarity of this best.

I added a couple of my textures to this, including my previous upload :-)

now i'm off to bed cause it's late and i'm still fighting this bug. will be back tomorrow to catch up with everyone. nitey nite!

Much better on black btw

One of the photos that wasn't used in the magazine.

Every woman needs a bubble bath with a little wine from time to time. :)

OK, after all that web design guff, its back to the photos, and i thought i'd share a happy face to help you through your Monday Morning!

My friend Jeremy (WightPod) was very kind and let me have a play with his new 50mm f1.2 lens last week, it was a busy few days for me and the sun never came out much, so i just had a little go with the bath time bubbles again with William to see how it compared to my f1.8 which i'd used recently for the same thing.

The f1.2 immediately felt great to hold and use, faster to focus and it allowed me to take all these shots indoor at ISO100. I know the 7D could easily go much higher without showing noise, but i wanted to push it a little bit and see if i could find a reason to justify spending the big bucks on this lens (i've been hovering undecided between the f1.2 and f1.4 for a while now).

No conclusions yet, I loved using it and of course i'd prefer the f1.2 but is it really worth all that extra money?

I don't know about y'all.. but I'm tired. Everything about what's going on in the world is stressing me out and I feel like no one can catch their breathe. I didn't feel too inspired today and therefore, left getting today's photo till the very last minute. Tried to make it as interesting as possible. But man I'm tired.

Thanks for all the kind words on yesterdays bit of blatant self promotion, can't stop myself from showing off sometimes :)

Got a few more from the bath time baby shoot to share this morning, the same as before, but different if you know what i mean, its still a baby in a bath shot with a 50mm lens, but the angles and focus and processing are different.

One more from her wedding day 16-11-13. We had such fun that day, humid weather aside. Wish we could do it all again. The little Fuji X-E1 was ideal for the photojournalist style of shooting, no-one really paid that much attention to me, so I could basically just get on with it. The heavy look-at-me dslr would've been a pain to use and a distraction to the wedding preparation. So glad I bought it!

Some days I just don't want to get out of the bath. So I don't.

okay, i've thought about it long and hard and i've decided i'm going to start my 365.

i've been at this long enough, and i'm ready and feeling capable.

i know i started my 52 week project but as for now i'll continue that too i guess, i'm not sure how things will end up with that but i really am going to work hard at the 365, :)

so let it begin.

hope everyone had a good weekend, me and my friend went to the mall saturday and i finished all my christmas shopping :) lol its not even december.

and then sunday morning after our run we went to a friends for pancakes and stuff like that, it was really nice :) except i was allergic to the cat, so my eyes were like puffing really bad and like watering and i couldn't stop rubbing them, and it was just a mess. thankfully after i stopped rubbing them they got better. And then me and my dad watched Home Alone last night while my mom was at some christmas show thing, that is my all time favourite movie, i almost know every single line.

today was productive as well, i started and finished my religion assignment (did some of it while watching teen mom, lol.) I took a bath, obviously^, worked out and did some other productive things. hopefully my mom will take me to walmart tonight so we can get some wrapping paper, so i can wrap presents.

sorry for my feet, feet are disgusting.

I had the pleasure of working with Danielle yesterday. I just wanted to thank her for a killer shoot as well as Mahesh for donating his beautiful home for the shoot.

Day 5

Sally decided to start her day off with a nice long bubble bath in the waterfall bathroom - nothing better then starting the day off relaxing :D

A friend who's father in law is a doctor once told me the best thing for when you're sick is taking a hot bath so you can sweat out the toxins.

So I did.

And generously used the Peppermint and Eucalyptus bubble bath. That stuff smells SO good.

i feel like such a crappy photographer. i haven't done anything half-decent in at least a few days. i think it's ironic that i have more time fore 365's during the school week than i do during the weekends.

but i really wanted to do a concept picture today. this would have been better with the following:

- natural lighting

- my 50mm, which i couldn't use because i don't have the room in my bathroom, so

- a bigger bathroom,

- an antique clawfoot bathtub

-teased hair

so you see, i got lazy. but things like the bathroom and stuff were basically out of my control.

but i wanted to convey the concept of early loss of innocence, which has been the theme of nearly every book i've read for high school english classes. i really think i failed at it though. i suck.
