This is the beginning of a series of 'Post apocalyptic style' gas mask photos. More to come in the future. (That's peach pie, by the way.)
You can see the article on the Men's Vogue web site as well.
This is Ipad picture number 3 and even though you can't see an Ipad it did provide the background lights for this shot.
I wanted to show the different effects you can get by using the Ipad.
I got the idea for this from one of my Flickr contacts LSG.
Luckily my wife just had a box of O.P.I Nail lacquers delivered so thought I would use them for my light painting shot.
I think all those colours really add fun to my shot.
Now I have 3 shots using an Ipad I will be updating my blog very soon on how I achieved every picture with settings and equipment so don't forget to keep popping past.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS !

BOTTOM TWO:
ATHENA & WINNIE
I think this is both of your first times in the bottom two… It’s disappointing that your photo as a whole has landed both of you here. I really thought that you two would pull out a great shot together, but clearly not. However, only one of you can stay. That girl is…
Winnie. Congratulations, your efforts were ever so much stronger than Athena’s. You’re safe. Score: 22.1
Athena (Score: 21.8), I honestly did not expect you to leave so soon! I’m very proud of you, though & I wish the best for you in the future. You may exit now.
Keep those votes coming in! We’ll see you all back for the next week, make sure to score.

The foreground interest isn't a piece of rock but a large section of peat that is slowly being eroded by the sea.
There was also a lot of foam being whipped up by the sea that was being blown across the beach and into air. if i had my IPod I could have had my own foam party.

Rubber Duckie, it Is a connection
It doesn't have to be a tubby session, ya
Take my day from zero to eleven, ya
Vo-doh- eh-oh! you are...
With me on the street everyday
Speaking in your own special way
That sound i wanna hear it
Squeaky! Squeaky!
El patito
That's spanish for Rubber Duckie!
Oh, el patito, es mi favorito
Dónde quiera que vaya hace su sonido
El patito es tu buen amigo
El patito.
Duckie I'm so lucky
Voh-di-oh-di-oh-oh!
No matter where we go, you and I we both know
We're there for each other, so happy together
You migth even say we're two birds of a feather.
Duckie I'm so lucky, rubba dubba dubbie
Yellow little buddy, squeeze you and squeeze you.
I know it doesn't phase ya
The song my duckie plays (ah)
All rise your hands up
Let's hear what Rubber Duckie says (ah)
El paaaaaaa-tito
Oh, El patito, es mi favorito
Dónde quiera que vaya hace su sonido
El patito es tu buen amigo
El patito.
Que seria del dia del amor y la amistad sin un baño de espuma. Me estoy haciendo adicta.
I'm getting addicted to these.

This valentine's day, how could I ever forget it. I was expecting roses, I won't lie; from anyone! but they never arrived. I panicked or I broke down, not sure which one. I remember my eyes got watery and I knew I couldn't have this at work, but I couldn't help myself, the emotion was too great.
I hadn't received any flowers the previous two years, so why was I expecting them now. As a matter of fact, that should have given me a clue--not receiving any flowers the last two years.
Because I broke down is that I got up from my desk, grabbed a form to request vacations from work, and started looking at prices to go home. I wanted my mom, my brothers and sisters. I wanted to be with the people who loved me.
The trip made me feel back in control, back to looking forward to something...so even though I had cried earlier, I was pampering myself that evening, knowing I'd be flying to my mom soon...
Thanks for all the kind words on yesterdays bit of blatant self promotion, can't stop myself from showing off sometimes :)
Got a few more from the bath time baby shoot to share this morning, the same as before, but different if you know what i mean, its still a baby in a bath shot with a 50mm lens, but the angles and focus and processing are different.

It's been over a week now since Jack was unwell. It's taken him a few days to bounce back from it, but I'm happy to report that he is now back to his usual cheeky self. Many thanks for all the well wishes that people have left in their comments.
Maisie and Jack really enjoy playing in the bath each evening. One of the things that they have recently discovered is that it doesn't take much bubble bath to make a crazy amount of bubbles when they turn on the jacuzzi! Last night they were up to their necks in foam so I thought I'd take a quick photograph of it tonight. All good clean fun.
By the way, I hope to catch up with everyone's weekly photographs soon. I haven't had a chance to go through all of the submissions since before our Cornwall trip, so I hope to rectify that shortly.
Lighting was simply a 430EXII set to 1/4 power and zoomed to 24mm mounted on camera and bounced into ceiling directly above Jack.
PS The last bubble bath photograph I made was of Maisie for the October 2011 group: Bubbles

Trying out the underwater housing for the Canon S100.
It appears that this photo made it onto Flickr Explore for August 31st 2015, but for some reason only appeared late.
Thought you might like to see a lighting set up. This is the master bath in my old studio. Note the glass block windows for perfect natural light. This set-up used two Lastolite Ezyboxes. The Ezyboxes are attached to the background support bar using the Manfrotto Super Clamp and Magic Arm. I can't imagine ever being without these!
This is an older photo from last year that I thought I'd share with you all. My daughter taking a bubble bath in the evening, looking out our master bathroom window.
I've always enjoyed how peaceful she looks in this photo.
Strobist Info:
1Ds III, 24-70L @ f/11, ISO 100, 1/125. Elinchrom 500 BXRi into shoot through umbrella camera left. Fired a second frame with the flash off to get a clean background out the window with no reflection and layered them in post. Same camera settings/same time/ same composition for both frames.
I'll definitely be posting more of these shots in a bath set when i get a chance.
but this one was just too cute to pass up.
My grandson Brody loves taking baths and playing in the water. So a few months ago I found this wash tub and thought when the weather got a little warmer outside we could take some pics of him taking a bubble bath in it. Well as you can tell he loved it lol.
