~I want to live,

I want to give

I've been a miner

for a heart of gold.

It's these expressions

I never give

That keep me searching

for a heart of gold...

My first attempt at this the other week was for the Flickr Group Roulette challenge Day 58. I liked the idea, but was curious if it would be a better shot if I took it during the day with a bit of fill-in flash and with more of the bath/window in the frame. What do you think?

A friend of mine thought the first one was such a fun pic that I should hang it in our bathroom. I just might with this one!

I guess you can say that DJ did a great job looking happy while being in a bath full of bubbles.

This makes me think of someone is looking at the bottle through a keyhole or what the butler saw/drank!

Strobist info - Bottle filled with blue bubblebath and sat on black acrylic. Background is tracing paper background held in place by an old picture frame. Behind the screen there are 2 strobes - a canon 430ez on 1/4 power firing into a diy circular snoot made of a 100mm circular plastic ventilation pipe. Canon 430ez on 1/16th power with a blue gel to provide the blue background.

I was sooo excited when I saw the envelope waiting for me today when I got home, and even more excited when I pulled the magazine out and realized Marlee was on the cover! I wasn't expecting to be on the cover at all!

These photos look suuuper yellow in the magazine, not sure what happened there! So, I figured I'd post them here for anyone wanting to see them. :-)

Also, I should say these photos are most definitely inspired by Princess Di-O-Rama's amazing photo . She's a genius!

Anything can be romanticized when it's by candle light.

What's something mundane that candle light would make better? Wrong answers only.

I went with bath because after my 6th shift in a row and with two more to go I really need a nice relaxing bath. Unfortunally I didnt realise the plug wasn't in all the way and it was a rather short bath. Oh and yes, my bath tub is really GREEN, lol!

ODT : Simple pleasures

This didn't work out quite how I would have liked it, I expected it to look a bit more of a fun shot. Instead it's just a pic of me (I mean Gloria) in the bath with shower cap and face mask, drinking bubbly. I can't think how to give it a more fun 'Gloria' look. Any ideas welcomed.

It was awful doing this as the shower decided to spring a leak and drip, drip, drip on my head, so it was like water torture. I had to keep getting in and out of the bath (no mean feat) to check focus and exposure (and bubble coverage) and whether I was pulling a silly face. I think Gloria earned her glass of bubbly!

Gloria now has her own album:

Evening by the sea. Peace and quiet watching the tide come in. Time to forget your stresses and enjoy the beauty of nature.
