Browsing photos from past holidays, I discovered this, from our travel in Amorgos, 4 years ago. "Wild beauty": these two words are the better to describe the island. Beautiful blue and white villages and flowers resisting the strong wind, beyond huge rocks over the sea.
A pair of giraffes browse the bush for some late snacks as the sun sets in Chobe. Although hard to see in the dim light, the giraffe on the left is the male, with smooth ossicones, and his companion is female, with tufts of hair on hers.
We are invading territory!
Really though this is one of my favorite pictures from the session ^-^

Do you feel "betrayed" when (if) you found out a photo was an Artificial "photo"... are we getting used to being "lied" too..
I for one think we are blurring the future. Can we trust what we see? Do you accept this "new" way of looking at things?
Things are likely to become yet more complex as use of artificial intelligence by artists becomes more widespread, and as the machines get better at producing creative works, further blurring the distinction between artwork that is made by a human and that made by a computer.
here a quote by Friedrich Nietzsche
“I’m not upset that you lied to me, I’m upset that from now on I can’t believe you.”

The impala, (Aepyceros melampus) is a medium-sized antelope found in eastern and southern Africa. The sole member of the genus Aepyceros, it was first described to European audiences by German zoologist Hinrich Lichtenstein in 1812. Two subspecies are recognisedâthe common impala, and the larger and darker black-faced impala. The impala reaches 70-92 centimetres (28-36 inches) at the shoulder and weighs 40-76 kg (88-168 lb). It features a glossy, reddish brown coat. The male's slender, lyre-shaped horns are 45-92 centimetres (18-36 inches) long.
Active mainly during the day, the impala may be gregarious or territorial depending upon the climate and geography. Three distinct social groups can be observed: the territorial males, bachelor herds and female herds. The impala is known for two characteristic leaps that constitute an anti-predator strategy. Browsers as well as grazers, impala feed on monocots, dicots, forbs, fruits and acacia pods (whenever available). An annual, three-week-long rut takes place toward the end of the wet season, typically in May. Rutting males fight over dominance, and the victorious male courts female in oestrus. Gestation lasts six to seven months, following which a single calf is born and immediately concealed in cover. Calves are suckled for four to six months; young males(forced out of the all-female groups) join bachelor herds, while females may stay back.
The impala is found in woodlands and sometimes on the interface (ecotone) between woodlands and savannahs; it inhabits places close to water. While the black-faced impala is confined to southwestern Angola and Kaokoland in northwestern Namibia, the common impala is widespread across its range and has been reintroduced in Gabon and southern Africa. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) classifies the impala as a species of least concern; the black-faced subspecies has been classified as a vulnerable species, with less than 1,000 individuals remaining in the wild as of 2008.

I heard the killdeer calling to each other by Boyd Lake in northeastern Colorado, USA, and found this loner doing his stroll and little running spurts on the edge of the water.
Well perhaps more like a bit of High end browsing if the truth be known.
I am not usually a high end shopper but sometimes I like to stroll the trendy malls and let people think I have oodles of $$$ to spend. (With my $30:00 dress on)
Besides there are always some clothes and especially shoes and handbags to be had in the ritzy malls that you can't find anywhere else and it is always nice to pretend isn't it?
It is my mission in life to browse through all the clothing possibilities. **Nudge/Wink**

Wild South Africa
Kruger National Park
Sharpe's Grysbok are very shy and rare. These solitary small antelope are roughly the size of a grey duiker, though their body is more squat and stocky in build. They have a reddish-brown coat streaked with narrow splotches of white and their backs have a characteristic hunched appearance. Males have short stubby horns.
These small antelope are rarely seen. By day they rest in the protective cover of tall grass or beneath the shady canopy of shrubs. They are very timid and dart off into concealment at the first sign of anything unusual. They feed mainly at night, browsing or grazing as the opportunity arises.
The muntjac deer, Colby and Violet, were excited when their keeper delivered browse. My camera and I were glad to see them so happy.

When you browse around on flickr, you will see many an African Leopard (Panthera pardus pardus) images. You just might get the wrong idea that these cats are in abundance and that you see them around every corner. There is nothing further from the truth. The reason why you see so many images of them on flickr is purely because they are so high on the priority list of all wildlife photographers! So, when we encounter one, the excitement is beyond belief!
