We saw lots of these on our trip - in fact I have never seen so many deer in North America as we did this time

I heard on the radio they take food away and save it for later.
They are certainly always busy with their take aways.
A doe and her fawn browse the spring hillside for edibles. Fortunately for them, anything they put in their mouth is edible in this lush environment. This is a companion image to the one I posted yesterday--same time, same place--a little more intimate, with hopefully the same peaceful easy feeling of gentle beings going about their business.

Melaleuca is a genus of plants in the myrtle family. Most melaleucas are endemic to Australia. Melaleuca pulchella is endemic to the south of Western Australia. It is one of only two species of Melaleuca to have two kinds of stamens. The outer stamens are longer and curved, giving the appearance of a claw to the flower. There are five bundles of stamens around the flower, each with about 45 to 80 short, sterile stamens and 10 to 15 long, curved, outer stamens. Elk are one member of the deer family that both graze (eat grasses) and browse (eat leaves).
The bulls (or more properly, stags) are quite docile in the summer and are either loners or hang out with other bulls in small groups. In the fall, during the rut, the bulls are unpredictable and dangerous and should not be approached.

Feeling the constant war between the darkness and the light. I can’t find the words to express it so I make pictures.

As a way to cope with circumstances beyond my control, survive and work to keep fighting for life I decided to try to take at least one photo (or more) each day. I call this “a photo (or more) a day.” Practicing this form of therapeutic photography helps me work to focus on the present moment, gives me something familiar and enjoyable to focus on as I use photography skills that have become like second-nature to me and being able to view the images I capture helps me recall what I was thinking, feeling and noticing at the moment when I created the photos. More of the photos from this series can be seen on my Instagram account
I may not always have the energy, time or capacity to share photos from this series—especially with the very challenging circumstances my family and I are experiencing—and will do my best to continue taking a photo (or more) a day even if I’m not able to share.

I went browsing at the harajuku event on Second Life and came across this pretty dress ,I love the material but without reading the info on the dress I bought it and realized it's only for Maitreya bodyXD but I managed to make work with my Legacy alpha and it came out pretty good if I do say so myself :).This is innocent,cute yet not childish girly which I love a lot.I had a hard time choosing colors that I like because they all are absolutely cute!

After placing bird feeders in our back yard we've had several new species of birds arrive. Among them are American Goldfinch's. I've seen one (maybe two) in the past 23 years we've lived here but this year many have descended upon our abode. This male seems choosy in his food selection.
Since I can't travel because of the current pandemic I might as well take advantage of the opportunities that're right under my nose.
The largest terrestrial animals in the world is dwarfed by a giant acacia tree in NgoroNgoro Crater. The African Elephant grazes and browses continuously to consume the quantities of food it needs to sustain its large size. Tender acacia leaves are a favorite food and many a tree succumbs to the brute force of the elephant. Smaller trees are frequently knocked down or torn apart in by elephants, sometimes leaving large swaths of forest destroyed. Elephants, when not poached, can live in excess of 70 years. Of the over 100 species of acacia, most are smaller and have less longevity that the tree shown. A few can reach great heights and attain greater age. But the battle between this mighty acacia and the seemingly small elephant is constant. Even though he won't be able to knock this tree over, its lower branches will remain at risk. The ground is strewn with large branches pulled down and stripped of succulent leaves. This collection of images is in color—my first collection contained black and white photos. The film simulation I used for this collection was not something I normally would have chosen—it was a little bold, intense and flashy for me. Since I didn’t want to spend money on the FIMO app I was using on my phone for this project I embraced the constraints this led to and used this simulation because it came free with the app. This exercise in getting outside my comfort zone was a growing experience for me. I found it interesting how the app made variable, random decisions for me adding elements I had no control over—bright, saturated colors and simulated light leaks—that added an element of joy, surprise and cheer to the pictures I took which I found to sometimes be uplifting and encouraging.
