Today my bottom bracket spindle snapped while I was coming up to speed on Kedzie Blvd. Considering where I was and what happened, I got off pretty lightly with scraps and a bruised ass.

I found this gravestone in the Nile Hill Cemetery in Charleston, south of Westport. I know it sounds a bit morbid - visiting a cemetery - but I find it interesting, learning just a little bit about people who lived so long ago (many of those buried in this cemetery drowned and one family came all the way from the Hebrides, lured by gold). It was so sad to see this stone broken in two, left to the elements but at the same time the photographer in me was like 'yes! this will make a great photo.'
Some jerk[s] broke my quarter panel out. Don't worry, this happened back in August, I just now got back around to the photos.

The XXII Triennale di Milano, Broken Nature: Design Takes on Human Survival, consists of a thematic exhibition and several installations from international participants. It will run from March 1 to September 1, 2019. With the XXII edition, La Triennale di Milano reaffirms its decision to continue the tradition of the International Exhibition, the twenty-first edition of which was held in 2016 after a twenty-year hiatus.
The exhibition that gives the event its name and theme is curated by Paola Antonelli with Ala Tannir, Laura Maeran, and Erica Petrillo. The international participations will be solicited via official governmental channels.
The thematic exhibition Broken Nature will consist of three major commissions as well as numerous loans. An ambitious public program of events––with conferences, panels, workshops, screenings, and performances––for people of all ages will also complement the XXII Triennale.
I accidently dropped my phone on the patio at Pints Pub. This was the outcome of the extremely short fall. I've dropped it from higher and never had a problem. :(
this gift was brought back and given to us by good friends from their vacation in egypt. it was a sandscape in a glass vial with our names written in it, in sand.
sadly, to say, a minor incident involving a stack of books and a vaccuum cleaner caused it to break.
Broken headstones... they were all very old and very beautiful... and very sad to see them in such a state /:
The Kid: So, as just a guy who gave another guy a sandwich, you have any philosophical tips or anything, for a guy on a-kind of- road trip?
Don Johnston: You asking me?
The Kid: Yeah.
Don Johnston: Well, the past is gone, I know that. The future isn't here yet, whatever it's going to be. So, all there is, is this. The present. That's it.
