Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken, even when I live in a world of broken pieces...

Can you still smile when you know that at a very young age you were hardened by the realities and hardships of life? When dreams are just so far- fetched to even dare to dream?... When even smiles are but traces of pain and broken spirits? when even a mouthful of food to make it through the day takes an awful lot of while to come by?...

-----

Two streetkids in the Philippines. I offered them some money and food if they would smile for me. This is the best they could muster.

This was my favorite chain that I wore everyday for years. It got tarnished and a little worn out before finally breaking. After a while, I decided to replace it with a new one.

never again be what it was before.

One day, Treeson discovered there were many broken hearts on the street when he was wandering in the city.

The Broken Heart Story Part I at:

I just think of the story on my way to work today, and can't wait to draw it tonight, and Treeson seem drives me to say something for him :)

A number of cameras in for repair at my local workshop

Take these broken things

And learn to see again, learn to shoot so free

When we hear the shutter ping

The memory card of stuff will open up and show what's in

Take these broken things

Making most of a dropped peg :)

note: except for a crop and frame there is no editing in this pic. the blue in the backdrop is the screen saver on my mac book!

My little brother found this Tiger SwallowTail Butterfly (I assume) on his way home from school and brought it home. He thinks it was hit by a car that's why its wings are badly hurt and has some parts missing:( I don't know how much we can do for it, but I decided to leave it on my sunflowers maybe it can regain some strength to keep going. I also read that butterflies can actually fly even with a few chunks missing from their wings so hopefully this butterfly can do the same.

Broken Obelisk is a sculpture by Barnett Newman in 1963. It is the largest and best known among his six sculptures.

One is permenantly installed near the Suzzallo Library, on Red square at the University of Washington.

broken poles are a constant amusemnet for me.

Broken mirror mosaic.

16 years ago, I used this in a trainning class at elementary school, then, it was broken.

Today, I still keep it, not totally abandoned, at least a good treat for an amateur photographer...

Today I fell and broke my camera. Looks like it's beyond repair(><). I have to use my former camera until I can purchase a new one.

A broken Mitsubishi QM300HA-2H triple Darlington transitor, from a UPS inverter. (Un transistor di potenza divelto).

It says I've added the part to my cart, but where's the 'view my cart' and 'checkout' options? I think this might hurt their online sales a bit...

And just to add to the broken-ness, mail to 'webmaster@nutone.com' bounces with a 'no such user' error.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute spring 2017 exhibition, Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between, on view from May 4 through September 4, examines Kawakubo’s fascination with interstitiality, or the space between boundaries. In Kawakubo’s work, this in-between space is revealed as an aesthetic sensibility, establishing an unsettling zone of oscillating visual ambiguity that challenges conventional notions of beauty, good taste, and fashionability. A thematic exhibition, rather than a traditional retrospective, this is The Costume Institute’s first monographic show on a living designer since the Yves Saint Laurent exhibition in 1983.
