Thad is now 11 weeks old and weighs 29 lbs. He's loving Spring and the outdoors. He was sniffing the daffodils.
6E32 got away from Lafina / Preston Dock branch nice and early this morning as is the norm and arrived at its holding point Ribble Junc 19 early- here it sat for some considerable time unable to access the Blackburn branch as 2N15 (150137) -the late running Preston - Burnley central stopper was being held at the access signal to Farington Curve Junc.- the unit finally cleared the junc at 1025 ( 25 late) and then ambled off towards East Lancs.
6E32 finally passed Farington Curve Junc at 1039 - now 18 late with further time lost on route to Lostock Hall Junc (21 late)- passing there at 1046 the 2 x 56's (049 & 094) got a clear road and attacked the climb to Hoghton .
I found some old photographs of Molly as a baby, I cannot believe this is almost 13 yeares ago. She is so small. I think what is worse though is the furniture.
We met up with Scooby a couple of times at the leash free park, and this time around, I had a chance to photograph them together!!!
The greyhound owner had to hold both their leashes so they'd stand still long enough for us. Scooby is an 8 yrs old rescue, and he has a bit of arthritis in his hind legs. He's a pretty good size, even though you don't see much of him in this shot. His mum and dad are very nice people! I always hope I'll run into them again.
Velvet of course, is showing her timid side,as she's spotted ALL the dogs in the leash free area.....and has a hesitant apprehensive look. One too many big dogs for her in there!!
I found that if we head over here on the weekend, there aren't any little dogs in the little dogs leash free area, so we have to venture into the regular one.
You can see how excited Velvet is. Oh, and we were just arriving, and Scooby was leaving......
Brindle is a ten-year-old neutered male Chow mix with the cautious demeanor you expect of that breed. He is food aggressive but otherwise gets along well with everyone. He is currently on pain meds for an old injury, and takes anti-depressants. He loves to be where the action is.
I give my husband heart failure when I am out taking photos. Of course this beautiful dog caught my eye. I stopped, stayed in the car and asked if I could take a photo of the dog. I didn't realize until his owner started talking that he was very inebriated. I took a few shots and then the owner asked for money for coffee. I handed him $5 and he rolled backward off the bench to reach it. And then to top it off, the gent in the wheelchair (part of the chair on the right) put his arm on the window as we started to leave. My husband gently pulled away while mentioning to keep the camera well inside.
Job well done!??

Best tug-of-war player I know!
East Hanover, NJ
Once a while we give him some cardboard boxes, to satisfy his destructive needs!!
That way we've managed to keep him from chewing on the furniture!
The downside to this is, that I can never ever leave a cardboard box unattended!!!
