Smile on Saturday: Emotions

Kahn loves his time in the bush 🐾💕

Smile on Saturday: Shades of Brown.

It was so hard to choose! Wombats, Wallabies, Quolls, Kangaroos, Koalas, Coffee or Kahn. In the end I took a new one of Kahn our Brindle Boxer in the bush :)

Daily Dog Challenge: The Eyes Have It

Daily Dog Challenge: It's all in the detail

Detail of the swirl on Kahn's left shoulder and the beautiful Brindle. Our old white Boxer, Hugo, had a swirl on each shoulder & Etta doesn't have any. No idea what that means :)

the bush still has a lot of recovering to do after the drought.

A nice change of traction on the 6X05 engineering train from Carlisle to Crewe today saw English Electric Class37's in charge. Pictured passing Bridle with unbranded 37422 & classmate 37259 leading the train.

Daily Dog Challenge: Special

I think Kahn's Brindle coat is pretty special, especially when it glows in the Winter sun like this :)

With the sun starting to go down West Coast Railways 57313 is pictured as it roars past Brindle with a return railtour to Hereford.

It was nearly fifty years ago that this locomotive was consigned to Barry scrapyard. Some 15 years after it's demise it was rescued and was to be used as spare parts for sister locomotive Leander. Instead it has been rebuilt and here we see the rebirth of this Jubilee class locomotive on its loaded test run passing Brindle on the 16/04/2013.

A fine view of the size and affability of our one-year-old Newfy/Mastiff mix, Sofa. He gained ten pounds in one week. Literally. He is simply the best dog ever.

45699 catches the early morning sun as it heads "The Lune Rivers Trust" railtour from Carnforth - Chester, seen here passing Brindle.

Always. He always does this! Every single time. Boxers are clowns, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

37401 passes Brindle with the Warrington-Blackburn vans on 29/4/2009.At the time, this was a fairly regular turn for the few remaining DBS 37s - since then this engine has enjoyed a new lease of life with DRS.

I do have painful memories of this shot - I managed to gash my hand badly on the barbed wire fence, blood was gushing out as the train approached and I needed a visit to A+E to get stitches !
