It was so hard to choose! Wombats, Wallabies, Quolls, Kangaroos, Koalas, Coffee or Kahn. In the end I took a new one of Kahn our Brindle Boxer in the bush :)

It was nearly fifty years ago that this locomotive was consigned to Barry scrapyard. Some 15 years after it's demise it was rescued and was to be used as spare parts for sister locomotive Leander. Instead it has been rebuilt and here we see the rebirth of this Jubilee class locomotive on its loaded test run passing Brindle on the 16/04/2013.

37401 passes Brindle with the Warrington-Blackburn vans on 29/4/2009.At the time, this was a fairly regular turn for the few remaining DBS 37s - since then this engine has enjoyed a new lease of life with DRS.
I do have painful memories of this shot - I managed to gash my hand badly on the barbed wire fence, blood was gushing out as the train approached and I needed a visit to A+E to get stitches !
