Illona Haus who started the 52 weeks for dogs group was traveling from Ontario to Nova Scotia for a brief vacation. We arranged to meet up as she was passing through New Brunswick.
We live. in the state of Maine near the New Brunswick border.
Ralph and I got up early and drove 2 1/2 hours to meet up with Illona and her dogs Mates and Merrick and go for a hike. It was a great day for all of us.
Illona Haus is an amazing pet photographer and dog whisperer. If you haven't seen her work you should ..... scruffydogphotography.com

This is Cheryl's beautiful greyhound Bessie. By the time we started photographing her we had almost lost our sun so I will have her model for me again and get some better running shots of her than I did, 'cause that's what greyhounds do best!! ;o)
It was nearly fifty years ago that this locomotive was consigned to Barry scrapyard. Some 15 years after it's demise it was rescued and was to be used as spare parts for sister locomotive Leander. Instead it has been rebuilt and here we see the rebirth of this Jubilee class locomotive on its loaded test run passing Brindle on the 16/04/2013.
