Ralph and I went into the yard today for photoshoot. I was hoping to get a comical photo of him with his ball that has teeth on it. He was not into playing ball and is not a dog that will hold things in his mouth. After torturing him for awhile we just decided to lay in the grass and enjoy the sunshine.
I took several shot with my regular camera and some with my iPhone. I fell in love with this one from my phone, so here it is.....
We went out to visit our friends Mary and Joyce on Yellow Head Island on Monday. Ralph watched Mary very closely as she moored her boat and then rowed back to shore.
Later we got back into the boat and took Josh's ashes and my friend Margie's ashes out to spread them in the ocean. It was an emotional day.
Ralph and Peter just walked out to the end of this floating wharf with the intention of Ralph running back to me for this weeks shot. Unfortunately there was quite a swell coming in so the wharf was rocking quite a bit the further out they got. Ralph got a bit nervous and slowly made his way back to me. I had him sit so I could get a couple of shots as I lay on the wharf..
You can see a bit of spittle on his tongue showing how nerve wracking it was for him.
If you look closely to the left side of Ralph's tongue you will see two deeper lines. These are scars from porcupine quills he received while on the run for 3 months in the Maine woods after being dumped by his previous owners.....
LOOK AT THAT SWEET FACE.
I raised the saturation on this a bit so you could see the reddish-brown streaks in her fur. Bailey's what the dog expert people call "brindle" colored, which I've never seen IRL before (at least, not on a poodle. On boxers and great danes, sure). It'll be interesting to see how her fur patterns develop as she gets older.
