Built in 1924, the ground floor (east side) was converted into a pottery studio in 2003. The 1,800 sq ft co-operative studio now accommodates 25 ceramic artists who work together, sharing their experience and skill. The public will view artists at work, and a variety of finished artwork in the adjoining gallery.

The Standard Bread Company building has been given a heritage designation and is considered a rare example of an early 20th century industrial building. The Hintonburg neighbourhood landmark baked, sold, and delivered bread around Ottawa by horse and cart until the late 1960's, but for the last 30 years it has been occupied by Enriched Bread Artists and ClayWorks.

It is anticipated that the building will undergo a complete remodel in the near future as part of a development project that will incorporate this building into a mixed use facility, including housing, artists work spaces, a gallery and potentially a cafe.

Following the Blitz bombing of Liverpool during the second world war, rubble from bomb-damaged areas was transported to the beach at Crosby to bolster the sea defences. It still remains to this day and there are lots of interesting pieces of brick and stonework to be found. A nod here to the work of Tom Fairclough, whose images of the area are stunning, take a look - bootlecollateral.blogspot.co.uk/

This was from a shoot from months ago, which I finally got around to edit and wanted to submit to a magazine. I didn't manage to get it published though, so I thought I'd share it with you here.

I'll be going out soon and build up a pretty portfolio; I can feel all that force in me, once it's out, it's going to roll.

But hey! It got onto PhotoVogue! :)

Something clogged the line, causing the water to pour out of this rather unusual joint.

Square peg in a round hole, indeed.

I went on the World Wide Photo Walk on Saturday in Lewes Delaware . It was started 3 years ago by Photoshop guru Scott Kelby. There was over 30,000 photographers who took part all over the world . Our group of 50 was led by Judy G. Rolfe, a former USA Today photo editor, and freelance photographer. I met some really niice people and had a wonderful time.

Looking through a gap in the brick wall.

One of those sights that makes you scream "Pull over! Pull over!" when driving by, even if you're the only person in the car.

On the site of where Pres. James Madison was born, at the border of Caroline and King George Counties. It's a small yet very striking brick church.

Members of Rainbow Bricks LUG displayed some of their pop culture creations at Sydney's Oz Comic Con 2015. Held over the weekend of 26th/27th September.

This brick is amongst many from Coltness, on the steep path on the south side of Lanark. It came from the Meadow Brickworks in Carluke, and is over a hundred years old.

I love all types of art and admire creative people since I have no creativity at all. We flew into London a few hours earlier and I was trying to stay awake so I decided to check out the murals of Brick Lane in East London. I exited from the Tube station, took a wrong turn, and ended up near the East London Mosque. Interesting area. I got my bearings and found an amazing number of murals and paintings, not just on Brick Lane but in surrounding parks. Absolutely amazing and a great place to check out - and then have a curry afterwards!
